"Do you think he could do that in real life?" Unquestionably yes. Bruce grew up in the streets facing Chinatown gang wars. He fought often. After his rise to fame, he was challenged almost every time he made a movie anywhere on set. He never lost, and in fact most people couldn't even land a blow on him because he was too fast. There are video interviews with OG street guys who vouched for his fighting ability. He was probably the closest thing we've ever had to a real superhuman fighter.

His "rise to fame" ,as you say, in films was never true in America or even the world unfortunately, except for the last year and a half of his life and only for Hong Kong for that. However, he was extremely famous in the community of the Martial Arts. Every champion and pro fighter not only feared him but respected him because they knew he fought for real in the real world. Famous in Martial Arts yes, not famous in movies or Hollywood per se. But yes, you're 100% right, Lee had lead a very violent life up to the point of his final film making and w/his multiple altercations by other Martial Artist who were upset by his standpoint he was pushing, and of course by the multiple altercations and combat experience growing up in HK that lead to his necessary exile when finally a price was on his head because of the trouble he was getting into. Many of his fights are actually documented by the testimony of the very fighters themselves! It takes a bit of research but one can see Lee had lead a violent life unfortunately, engaging in combat w/men who were blackbelts, guru's, champions, and even numerous ex-military who outweighed him by a hundred pounds. I should make a book lol.

Thankfully, Lee was actually able to sneak in a few movies starting at the very last 1.5 year of his life. Prior to that...there are zero action movies, he was simply a veteran at live combat. In live situations he had fought; Black Belts, Pro Fighters, Ex military, Champions, 3rd degree Masters, Rival Martial Artists, and opponents that outweighed him by 100 pounds. His battle experience started as a young boy who would then become the leader of the Hong Kong Gang, the Tigers8 of Junction Street, and his violence lead all through out his teens + adulthood. The few movies he DID get to make were only at the last 1.5 years of his life which had been a very brief opportunity for him to report his life experiences and give that insight into live combat. He only made 3 little movies plus One Hollywood film, a very short attempt at films but we're lucky he at least made them and snuck them right in JUST before he died to show us his insights on his personal life of hard combat. Lee is ranked by Sports Illustrated in the 50 Greatest Athletes of All Time, with near super human strength that could raise unbelievable weights that pro weight lifters could not.

What you watched here is, in my view, the greatest single martial arts scene in cinematic history. Bruce choreographed all the fight scenes in this film. However, this is "Movie Fighting". And though very realistic--far more so than pretty much any others you'll see in film--it is only a reflection of the mastery he had as a martial artist. He was the greatest of all time, hands down. Good choice.

Bruce grew up a street fighter and was trained by Yip Man of the Wing Chun school of Kung Fu and later when he was ejected for being part American William Chueng his friend continued his training in secret, even later he developed his own technique Jeet Kune Do, the way of the intercepting fist. He was a fanatical trainer, driving his parents crazy smashing his fist into a stool next to him at the dinner table while he ate with the other hand. Everyone that met him said his speed set him apart from every other fighter, but he also had very heavy hands equivalent to a heavyweight boxer and his kicks were even more devastating. He's widely regarded as the father of MMA but I'm not sure he would agree with that but enough people that met him said he was the best fighter they'd ever seen.

To answer the question of could he do this in real life the answer is yeah he could, he was a very skilled martial artist and was near superhuman in regards to his physical condition and skill as a fighter.

In real life Bruce Lee is even faster than that

The guy that Bruce holds on to and then snaps his neck was Jackie Chan. Jackie was a top stunt man that Bruce respected at the time.

She said " Do you think he can really do this in real life"? Me: He's doing it right now. He just not killing everyone cause it's a movie.

Bruce Lee was Faster than the Camera! So in this kind of Situations they had to Slow down the Speed of the Film so People can see it! Thats the Truth!

Bruce lee unlocked something in his mind. Simular to Wim Hoff. The man who literally climbed all of Everest in a tee shirt. We have a large portion of our brain we never use and i believe Bruce and Wim figured out the 🔑 to our minds power. Who knows maybe im just full of shit but Bruce lees speed was super human. I like the phrase on his tombstone. Its sums up Bruces impact on us all.

When Bruce kicked O'Hara (Bob Wall), he did it with such force that one of the men standing behind Wall to catch him broke both of his arms. Bruce's fight scenes often had to be slowed down because he literally moved too fast for the camera to film him clearly.

Do they even realize, the guard that grabbed Bruce from behind, and after he broke his hold had his arm up under him holding him by the hair, then after he kicked the guard in the face in front of him, and then snapped his neck,. was no one other than Jackie Chan ?
@nathanielanderson75676 жыл бұрын
Jackie Chan was one of the guards. Jackie Chan also stated that , "no one can be like Bruce Lee! He was the best! He was the best!"

"In real movie, could he do this?" .... aaaah, YES. Look at any documentary on Bruce Lee about his history. He was a REAL fighter ... was constantly getting challenged to street fights in Hong Kong. Freakish strength for his size, freakish speed, ridiculous agility. He was a seriously dangerous martial artist.

Anyone that actually does the research learns that he was not a proven fighter.
