It is amazing how much When You Walk In the Room sounds like a Bruce composition. Shout out to Jackie Deshannon for writing this rock/ pop gem back in 1961/62.

She inspired Agnetha from ABBA too. Jackie Deshannon was a great performer and song 🎵 writer .

More than that -Jackie pioneered the “jangly” guitar sound that inspired the Byrds (Mr Tambourine Man), The Beatles (Ticket to Ride), The Hollies (Look through any Window) - among others…

God Bless you Bruce on your South American Tour. This seems to be my theme song. You will never be old. E Street Rock On!!! You are just like all the other guys on this planet, you take our virginity away, and then leave us for other continents, when we are longing to see you again. I will always remember Glendale 2012

Written by Jackie DeShannon...her version was released on November 23, 1963...and The Searchers released their version in September 1964. The song has been covered by MANY bands.

Not everyone should sing every song. Bruce really is not the man for this fine tune. The 12-string is only decoration and the organ overwhelmes everything which is caracteristic for these soulful harmonies.
@ruffian29523 жыл бұрын
Respectfully submitted to everyone except Jackie, Bluesgerd has an excellent assessment. Jackie's performance is and remains without peer. I am a Rolling Stones fan who would revolt if they sought to molest this song.
