Always loved Chaka. Saw her live many times. But ... "All she had to do was scream" ( which is all she did ) which threw the whole performance off, IMO. Guess it's because I've seen the best of her and THIS wasn't it. Bonnie Raitt's vocals would have been prefered, and then, it would have been a performance that rocked all equal parts.

@@charliblake8551 she's obviously a great singer. That being said, i don't know her body of work. As far as Bruce goes i know all of his work and what he can do with his voice. John Fogerty is a great Rock voice. He is the sound of CCR a legendary band from the 60's/70's. To me it seems that all the songs the artists did during this Rock Hall event wasn't rehearsed at all. This. Is. Horrible. (All due respect to Bruce, and Fogerty, and of course Chaka Khan.) But this mostly lily-white version of a great Black soul tune goes wrong from the opening bars by featuring the repulsive, self-indulgent, soulless John Popper. Bruce and Chaka try to breathe some life into this Frankenstein monster, but it's dead on arrival. An embarrassment for everyone on the stage. Criminal charges should ensue.
