Bruce is just " lost " in his music when he steps away from the mic . Even he can't believe it is so damn Beautiful .

There are times in your life where you just wished time would stand still. What a privilege to see him twice while he was here. Such a storyteller and performer! Will never forget this! Such great memories!

It was a fabulous concert to experience. He is just the best. And was so entertaining and engaged with the audience all through the concert. A class act. A night I will never forget. Thanks Bruce and E Street Band 😊

Just imagining a 22 year old Bruce sitting at his piano composing this early masterpiece. He wrote so many of his greatest songs from the piano. The first instrument he ever learnt to play.

Where did you get that (1st instrument) from?

@@garybrady4135 His autobiography...he learned to play the piano at young age in his family home in Freehold, New Jersey. Every song on the Born to Run album was written from the piano.

Once he learnt to play his first chords on the guitar he transferred them by ear to the piano. I am sure the long intro and outro have a lot to do with Ray who is a master of the piano. Bruce still can’t read music. (Source - one of the many interviews he has given over the years.). I love this sad song.❤❤❤

Thank-you Bad Scooter for this gem of a live version of one of the many masterpieces from my equal first (the other is The Wild, The Innocent &....) favourite Bruce album. Simply beautiful & makes me think of my late eldest brother Paddy who first introduced me to Darkness. Love you and miss you brother.

I had been listening to this song a lot recently, and it took on new meaning for me at this point in my life. I had been to a good few Bruce concerts, but had never gotten this live. I really needed this that night, and it was incredibly overwhelming when the first few keys were played and I knew it was coming. An incredible evening from start to finish. The Boss is better than ever, and long may it last! Thank you for recording this (it is also nice to see my big noggin with my loved ones right there in the centre bottom of the video). I'll always have this now, thank you!
