I saw Jay in 2009 at Pinkpop when he was only 18 and he filled in for his dad. He's good but he doesn't have his dad's inate feel for each song or Max's unique personality

True. But Jay has gotten a lot better since then and he now holds his own in his own league of music.

@@robrobster9148I've seen him play and he's good as a metal drummer but plays over a lot of songs, something his dad never does. Max knows his job is to serve the song, not the other way around and Jay needs to learn that. He's not a kid anymore. Sorry to say it, but Jay will never reach his father's stature

He's a great drummer for heavy metal but he plays every song as though it's metal. Max plays to the particular song but with Jay it's all about Jay. He's got a long, long way to go to get to his father's level of greatness. I wanted to like him because I'm a huge Max fan and he's Max's son, but, sorry, I can't.
