Bruce Wayne & Diana Prince | Love Me Like You Do

Of all the romantic foils and love interests Batman’s had over the years, none may be as inspired and empowering as the thought of pairing him with Diana Prince...a.k.a. Wonder Woman.
Though their bond is more akin to partners and kindred spirits as leaders and warriors, that foundation of mutual respect makes the spark of romance all the more potent. A number of stories spread across comics and other media have flirted with the notion and, honestly, I’m all for it.
Fans may prefer Batman’s relationship with Catwoman but there’s something special about the thought of Bruce and Diana. The idea of an Amazon hailed from an island deprived of men making a connection with a man who’s simultaneously a pinnacle of the human race and yet as broken and flawed a man as she could find...someone who despite being her opposite as a fragile, powerless, mortal man can still command her respect, standing shoulder to shoulder as an equal with feelings for her that reach beyond what either of them may have thought possible...is incredibly charming, so much so it makes you yearn for it to be made canon or to be explored further in deeper, more emotional ways.
I think Batman and Wonder Woman make a terrific couple and set a tremendous example of a love that defies all limitations and expectations.
