This was Bruce Willis acting debut and probably the only time you'd see Bruce play a villian. It would be about another 13 years before he played another villian in the film The Jackal.

They weren't exactly stars at the time, just shows you the lack of talent in today tv industry where you see hundreds of actors playing the same character over and over in every role they get and whose name you can't even remember, there are exceptions of course but still...

There was, Bruce was the best at acting out of the guest appearances. What I mean is that when it watch the others, they are more shy and not fully comfortable in their acting style yet. Where as Bruce is confident and acts like he is one of the stars of the show.

What they didn't know at the time was, he was actually down from New York City working deep cover on loan from the NYPD. He survived the gunshot wound and finished his assignment. Which led to being promoted so quickly at such a young age. The aftermath and stress of his undercover time, strained his marriage with Holly which is why she took a job in LA. You know the rest.

@@allengreene9954 he was just undercover deep. Married a murder suspect, could not fully get the proof to lock her up so he had to provoke her. It worked she shot him. They were able to arrest her and see that the gun she used was the gun she used to murder with.

The wife of Bruce's character would not be charged in real life due to the "battered wife syndrome". Surveillance of the abuse conducted by crockett, tubbs and the FBI agents would be presented to the DA she would be let go.

I bought the Season 1 DVDs 15 years ago and still have them. I was shocked to see Bruce in this he is so young. The Tony Amato character is definitely a POS no doubt. But for some reason, I find it weirdly funny that it's Bruce Willis playing the part. The part in the airport when he and Tubbs give each other super aggressive patdowns left me in stitches lol

I grew up in the Dominican Republic watching this show... after I graduated from college, I won a photography contest. Ist place. At the time $500 dollars. Renewed my passport. said goodbye to Santo Domingo and left to South Florida.
