I received this watch over a decade ago as a gift and it's still working, with the original battery. I cracked the body on it today so instead of waiting for it to quit working due to dust and particles getting inside, I bought a new one. Surprisingly, it didn't have a manual included like it did before. Thanks for this video. Got me up and running in less than two minutes.

Fantastic video! After days of considering which smart/fitness watch to buy, I ordered one of these, instead. They last forever and you can change the battery instead of buying a new device. My phone does everything a smart watch can do; I don't need redundant, $$$ devices. Thanks so much for this.

Totally agree! I actually have an Ironman r300 smart watch and during the first year I had to send it back to Timex for repair. It was a headache and took months to get it back… then I had to contact customer support to get it to pair to my phone because in the meantime I got a new phone. 🙄I’m afraid to wear it in the water and despite babying it, the face is scratched and chipped along the edges after a few years. The simple, yet inexpensive Ironman watches are true to Timex’s classic phrase, “Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.”

Then use the Mode button to view the laps and splits in the selected session.

Donald- Thanks for posting this as others will find it helpful. The Ironman Classic models will store multiple chrono workouts by date. @BruceAlanR3 жыл бұрын
I still have it, but it needs repair. I wore it into the ocean and accidentally pressed a button, which filled it with salt water. I didn’t have time to take it apart for a few weeks so the sea water corroded it. It’s going to take some time to rebuild it although I may just buy another. In the meantime I’m wearing my 20 year old Jocko Willink Ironman T66801. I used to wear these watches 24/7 and even showered with them. @BruceAlanR2 жыл бұрын
Glad the video was helpful. This watch doesn’t have a speaker. If you’ve turned on the beep in settings and the watch doesn’t beep at all (for example, when a button is pressed), the most common issue is that the back plate was put on upside down after a battery change.

Did i miss something? Can you program uneven intervals like 10min-5min-10min?
@BruceAlanR5 жыл бұрын
Good question! Unfortunately, the Shock and many other models only have a single countdown timer, which means it’s good for a single repeating interval. Models like the Ironman Classic 100, Classic 50, Sleek 150 (not Sleek 30) have 2 countdown timers which allows you to do two different intervals (for example, 10-5-10-5-10-5 etc. ). It stinks quite honestly. Luckily, I also have a 20 year old classic that I still use on occasion.

Can you walk through how to turn on the hourly chime? It's either hidden or I can't find the feature!

Timex didn’t make it easy. 😁 Press and hold SET/RECALL to enter set mode. Then press the MODE (next) button repeatedly until CHIME appears in the display. Use the START/SPLIT button to toggle the chime on. Then press SET/RECALL (done).

I got this Shock model and didn't realize it can only store one workout. Can you recommend another model that stores multiple workouts?

My favorite is the Timex Ironman triathlon Classic model with 100 lap timer.

My 2016 model, TW5K86000, saves Chrono sessions. At the finish line, press Stop then hold Recall to put the date and lap times into storage. To Recall a list of your workouts hold the Recall button in when in Chrono mode. The Start and End buttons go through the list of session dates. Then use the Mode button to view the laps and splits in the session.
