After watching Michael Jordan play, I don't understand how ANYBODY can compare LBJ to him. You must have to have your head so far up LBJ's #@s to even think he's in the same league. MJ was a MONSTER on defense as well as offense. He had NO WEAKNESSES.

His only weakness was his hairline and he turned that into his iconic bald head.... ;-)

In the 95’-96’ season Michael Jordan took over 1500 2Pointers, and the way I understand it, 571 of the 808 makes were from a range between 12-20’. He shot .506 from 2 Range overall, and total FG% on the year was .495. Here’s the most astounding thing: The closest to him that year in the league was Glenn Robinson with 606 makes, only 317 from 12-20’ range. Michael Jeffrey Jordan is, and always will be the best shooter overall the league has ever seen.

13:05-13:25, so glad you edited this in post to add emphasis to Jordan’s movement. One cannot overstate the artful off-the-ball play and incredible, seemingly boundless energy.

Not many people talk about it, but Michael’s huge hands had a lot to do with his abilities. The basketball in his hand was like a baseball in yours and mine.

Before the Berto Center, the Bulls practice facility (yes, this is true) was an independent fitness center in Deerfield. I joined up and my first day there was trailing Doug Collins around the indoor track. There was a full court with huge glass windows that the team used. They would close these massive curtains to keep things private. However, they also used the same locker room as the regular club members. What is weird from my standpoint is I never went there hoping to see any of the players. In fact, I only saw MJ once or twice and never dreamt about approaching him (I never did that with celebrities). I was in the locker room with other players only a couple of times. One time, I was by myself and the only other guy in the locker room (and in the same locker row as mine) was Oakley. Well, I had to say something so I offered up that I thought he had a great game the night before. He looked at me and politely said “thanks.”

In watching these early era Jordan games (Thanks BSN!), one can see what separates him all of the other guys people claim are his equal or better than him - his defensive play is beyond elite, and his all around game is nothing less than incredible.

Michael Jordan was just to be yet another all star for 10 years or so whose left ankle/knee gave out and he failed to win a championship playing for the worst sports town there is...CHICAGO! but nooooo, he was needed to put Chicago on the map worldwide, and not LA or NY so THE ALMIGHTY took him up under his wings LITERALLY and allowd him to do what he did w/o career ending injury! Ever heard M.J. give thanks for such? BE CAREFUL HE DONT END UP IN HELL FIRE!
