This was the first song I heard when I turned 20 because I wanted to start my 20s with Bruce's voice. To tell the truth I also feel that my birth was an accident since my mother said that I could have died at birth. In addition, I have gone through many stages without finding meaning in what I should be doing, simply letting myself be carried away by emotions and acting on impulses and I have come to suffer depression and anxiety because of those nonsense things that I think, coming to feel like a lost and pathetic child. Yet I'm here, and I'm finding a fixed goal in my life to became in a mature and strong man and I always hope that Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden and Heavy Metal is what I can listen to along the way to feel stronger

Lyrics - Journey back to the dark side, back into the womb Back to where the spirits move like vapor from the tomb The center of the cyclone, blowing out the sun Break the shackles of your union to the light I might've had a brother As I was born, they dragged him under To the other side of twilight He's waiting for me now Nativity was lost on me I didn't ask, I couldn't see What created me What and where and how Welcome home - it's been too long, we've missed you Welcome home - we've opened up the gates Welcome home - to your brothers and sisters Welcome home - to an accident of birth Feel our bodies breathing as you try to stop believing There's nothing you can do about your shadows You can fight us, you are like us And your body will betray you Lay down and die like all the others Where are the angels and their wings of freedom? Jesus had his day off when they pulled you through... Welcome home - it's been too long, we've missed you Welcome home - we've opened up the gates Welcome home - to your brothers and sisters Welcome home - to an accident of birth (to an accident of birth) Vision's growing dim as the daylight fades away I'm spinning, twisting, black Well, it's your dying day Welcome home - it's been too long, we've missed you Welcome home - we've opened up the gates Welcome home - to your brothers and sisters Welcome home - to an accident of birth Welcome home - it's been too long, we've missed you Welcome home - we've opened up the gates Welcome home - to your brothers and sisters Welcome home - to an accident of birth

Just to make sure I know the facts....Adrian actually did not play on this album, he joined Bruce's solo band after the completion of this album and they posted his pic on the back of the CD to make it seem that he was on the album. But Adrian did play on the Chemical Wedding album and the live album in Brazil. Anyone want to confirm this?
@_k_k_79 ай бұрын
That is wrong. Adrian was part of the composers of this album and wrote some songs together with Bruce. Where did you get your information from? Just read the credentials of the songs and you would have known that without pretending such nonsense.

They should make an animated film to accompany this Masterpiece album. A dystopian Arrival-type film where the humans believe the Extraterrestrials to be gods but in the end turn out to be a warped Transhiman / Posthuman species. Us from the distant future, completely corrupt and evil. A mirror to what we become. Mutated hate, accidents of birth.
