Legendary interview! Both of your families are royalty in my book. Inspirational. As an Asian myself whose also Black on my father's side I got to address this "Anti-Asian" sentiment and the illusion that it gained prominence with Trump. That's BS! Trump was the left's scapegoat! Now with Biden in office and other prominent Democrats the truth is clear. They don't give a rat's arse about Asians! In fact the mainstream media is 90% Leftist and/or progressive bias. Not to mention leftist media has ignored the "Asian hate crime" crisis completely & literally omitted whose perpetrating it. Most of the perpetrators are "Democrats", but since they're Black. You won't ever hear the description of the perpetrator's race. The same preferential treatment afforded to other groups the Left is pandering too like "Drag Queens" or "LGBTQ" mass shooters, or "pro BLM CRT" rioters. Ironically, Dems only care about Asians when its election time. Lastly, Democrats passing "Equity" and "Inclusion" policies. Those policies are stealing academic opportunities from Asians more than any other group. Why are we voting for a party that ignores are our work ethic? These Democrats only care about The Asian community when "Election time" rolls around. Hollywood is also predominated by "Democrats" and "Progressives". Look at how they portrayed Asian's historically. And last but not least "Bail Reform" policies that these Democrats keep pushing. Those insane policies have ravaged our communities. Thus the many high profile Asian murders, unprovoked attacks, stabbings, pushed onto Subway track incidents, & beatdowns at the hands of Blacks who are predominantly Democrats. The Truth hurts!

Shannon is a loving social human just like her father Bruce Lee. When Shannon said she could have become badass martial artist like Diana if her father(Bruce Lee) was with her to teach her, I just felt very sad for her. Shannon is very active, bubbly, caring, courageous, energetic, loving, smart human being, daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother, friend, martial artist. She still has a sad silent missing about her father and she is just covering that sadness with her beautiful smiles and loud laughs. She always wants to connect with her family members and cousins, friends, co-workers etc. Diana also is just like Shannon. Im happy that they are living and loving more than just friends, ie, as sisters/siblings. Diana is also a good speaker. She has so much knowledge about history worldwide and deep information about many things. So I think and my suggestion is that she should go for presidential election in US as a member of Democratic Party.

Great to see you both, great dads you both have! Martial Arts is a cultural thing to you ladies by virtue of your Asian heritage. I can understand what you mean by people having preconceived notions of linking martial arts with violence, and perhaps, not something to be promoted socially. I will share an interesting observation: I remember clearly watching like an International Cultural Symposium that took place in mainland China and the event was not about Martials Art but part of the presentations was kids practicing Wushu with broad swords. I could see on the faces of some of the global non-Asian attendees the expression like "what's all this teachings little children violence!!" It is just cultural differences. A bit like how Americans view having a gun like it is a Mobile Phone (probably an exaggeration but guess drives home my point). I think other non-Americans feel US citizens are so used to firearms. Many here in UK will feel terribly uncomfortable just to have an unloaded firearm locked up and lost somewhere in their attic... It's all good though as we are all creatures of the living God - I pray we can all become children of God, as I have learned that this is different relationship status entirely!

As far as I'm concerned, there is no legitimate "schism" in the Jeet Kune Do community; i.e., the "JKD Nucleus vs. JKD Concepts feud" because Shannon Lee and Diana Lee Inosanto are a united front. These two women are the heirs of their fathers' respective JKD lineages. So, all of the feuding between different JKD organizations is senseless.
