Bruce, my brother was your biggest fan! He traveled all over the world to see you in concert. After our Mom passed, he went to all your concerts one year. He passed away unexpectedly on 04/15 but was in the process of planning if he was going to Europe to catch all of those shows. He had said either way he would be catching all the shows in Pittsburgh and Philly. This past fall, he caught all of the shows in Texas and OKC. We used to joke he was a borderline stalker, but it was just your music helped him through some very rough times at a younger age and that hooked him in. We used to joke when he would go on a run of your concerts that he was at Bruce-a-poolza. He loved the song the river. It was one of his favorites! I would love if you could play it in honor of him at one of your Pennsylvania concerts he had planned to attend. His name was Kent Thompson. 🫶🏻❤️ TIA and for touching my brother's heart like you did with your music and lyrics. ❤

I did not hear any of Bruce's songs until I was in my 30s. I wish I had heard them much sooner in my life. His lyrics certainly ring true for me and I can usually find a song of his to help me through. Unfortunately my one and only cassette of his greatest hits just bit the dust (that shows how long I get and keep things at my age). My old Toyota (20+ yrs.) only plays cassettes alas. Thought about changing the stereo in my car but I had my last car done and they broke and messed my car up and I am very protective of my cars. Never again, I said! Bruce, you keep them coming! This is from a lady born and raised in Brooklyn NY who had a really very hard childhood in the projects and has a difficult marriage still now going on 45 years now.

I like very much that Bruce Springsteen has been always authentic during his whole period of life. Therefore he receives my fully respect. Stay so Mr. Springsteen and enjoy us with your songs.

5:00-5:05 If anybody ever looks at you like that, with those eyes right there, you hold onto them forever and never let go. That, is true love. Wow.

+Zak Wixson I have a great piece of information that you might be interested in: At the time of this tour, Springsteen and his wife Julianne Phillips had recently separated. Before this tour kicked off, Bruce Springsteen asked Patty Scialfa (the woman you see here, who performed some of the backing vocals on Bruce's songs over the years) to stay with the band as they went on tour. They actually fell in love during this exact tour and Patty moved in with Bruce shortly afterward. Though, I personally suspect that she had loved him for a long time, but respected his marriage. Bruce and Patty got married about three years later, and are still married today, with three children. You're essentially watching them fall in love with each other in this video.

+Ironman374 Nice fantasy you painted there. Julieanne and Bruce were not separated. She didn't go on this tour with him. She was naturally shocked to the core when the paps caught Bruce and Patti making out on a balcony in Europe. Bruce is a cheater: First on Julieanne. Now Patti is getting a taste of it with him being named the other man in a divorce trial in NJ. Probably not the first time he's cheated on Patti but he got nailed by the soon-to-be-ex husband of a married woman he chased.

+Darwinian Blunder People like you who spew false information should be barred from posting on the internet. Now I have to educate you, just so people reading these comments don't assume your fiction is true. Firstly, the entire Tunnel of Love album was written by Bruce Springsteen, specifically about the troubles he and Julianne were having in their marriage. Julianne and Bruce separated in March of 1988. right as the tour kicked off. It was not made public at the time. The video you see above was a concert on April 27, 1988. About 6-7 weeks after their separation. If you don't believe that, check out the "Chimes of Freedom" EP. It has the exact same recording of Tougher Than The Rest as seen in this video and will match the date the song was played. Secondly, Bruce Springsteen is 66 years old, the father of three children and is still writing music and performing live shows to this day. And here you come in claiming that some random woman's story in divorce court naming Bruce Springsteen as her lover is true? Do you believe everything you read on the internet? You can't even spell Julianne's name properly, and you think your story actually has credibility. Did you know the word "gullible" isn't in the dictionary?
