What mouthpiece? I'm in highschool and I play bass trombone in concert (1st trombone & tuba part) and jazz band (trombone 4 & bass trombone part) and I need a good mouthpiece because of my terrible one that came with my bass trombone.

Samuel E I play a Laskey 93D, but that is too big for a younger bass trombonist. I suggest most students start on a Bach 1.5G, which is a standard medium size

Okay, thanks! And what about a Bach Megatone mouthpiece?
@mikeszabo56317 жыл бұрын
Samuel E you don’t need it. Just a regular 1.5G will be just fine

Mike Szabo Thanks! I was debating about wether I should get a Giddings Chinook, Bach 4g, or Bach 4g Megatone and this helped! You, Nathan Fulmizi, and Lionel Fumeaux are my favorite bass trombonist and inspire me, keep making videos!

Samuel E thanks very much! A Bach 4G is a larger tenor trombone mouthpiece and most people will find it hard to make a proper bass trombone sound on a modern bass trombone. If you want something a tad smaller go for a Bach 2g
