Bruges in a Day: Exploring Canals, Chocolates, and Avoiding The Crowds

This week, James and I find ourselves docking in the charming town of Bruges on a beautiful Sunday morning. Our day began early with a quick room service breakfast so we could get off the ship and into Bruges as early as possible.
We have visited Bruges before and loved it so we were excited to be returning.
We took a 30-minute bus ride from Zeebrugge port to Brugges city centre, pre-booked via Get Your Guide, and spent the morning wandering through the picturesque town centre.

We were so lucky it was a beautiful day. We wandered around before the crowds arrived, and indulged in a relaxing coffee. Later, we continued to explore the Venice of the North, admiring the serene canals and hidden gems away from the tourist trails.
Back on the ship for a quick lunch and a nap. The day ended with a great dinner in the extra-pau, Eden restaurant, featuring exquisite dishes like fillet mignon and lobster salad.
