An excellent descriptive, analytical review of what sounds like a fantastic whisky, thanks Alan. Those farmy, savoury notes sound right up my street. I've tried the B. Islay Barley and that plus the graininess/cereal character and dustiness are what I really enjoy.

Sounds like a really great dram. I had the 2010 version about 4-5 years ago, and if my memory serves me right, it was a quite lovely dram, a bit different in smell and taste, probably due to the Bere Barley. According to my notes on WB, I scored it 88/100. At this moment in time, the 2012 version is avilable here in Sweden, but compered with the 2010 version, the price has gone up with almost 50%....and imho...that's to much. So I will stay happy with the memory of the 2010 version. Cheers
