I hold to the passages in Isa 52:14-53:12 This morning I realized many of the comfort verses I have used are contained in this passage. The word dimly flagged 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror (dimly), but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

I fell in love with Deuteronomy 10:21 as a new believer many years ago and it always reminds me always that our sovereign, creator God is a tender care giver. "For He is my praise and He is my God who has done for me these great and awesome things which my eyes have seen"

Hebrews 12:2 "keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." It's astonishing that it wasn't just duty or obligation that energized Jesus towards suffering on the cross...it was obedience to his father and the desire to be with a sinner like me for all eternity. He enjoys me. Enjoys me enough to suffer on the cross.
