Emma I’m telling you , sleepy dust on your bed sheets when you put them in the dryer is wonderful. Spray the body spray on your curtains close the bedroom door and leave the window open slightly, then when you go in your bedroom you get a waft of the most glorious smell 😊

We went to florida in the summer and when we returned, I discovered rhe Starbucks in all the parks sold 50th anniversary mugs for that particular park. I have collected Starbucks mugs generally for about a decade and I was pretty devastated to discover I'd missed out on probably the most amazing collection- and limited edition too. It was our first time taking the children so I thought I'd missed out on a truly special memory. My husband found some on ebay for what can only be described as an extortionate price and had them shipped over here for my Christmas present. They even got stuck at customs and he had to pay 99 dollars extra just to get them for me! But I love them! And him! Xx

You got some lovely gifts! Have to admit, Beth did a real on Instagram with the shop Disney homeware and so I had a cheeky look and it was ALL IN THE SALE. Did I need anymore Christmas table wear? No. But I did need all of the disney Christmas homeware and it got delivered on the 23rd so just in time. It’s so lovely! Thrilled you managed to get your lush stash for the year, I did slightly panic when you said you didn’t get anything from the sales ❤

I have a large flattish lidded under bed storage box, (try saying that when you toast the New Year in!!), that I keep wrapping paper in. The first year, after Christmas, I took the paper of the rolls and carefully folded it to size to fit the box. This was a cumbersome task and even though I had rolled each one in the opposite direction, it was quite a chore to do. Ten meter rolls of wrapping paper are very heavy when you have several rolls of them. This year I used the old paper first and donated the left over from that. Having bought a hideous amount more thinking I might run out I thought of doing something that would be easier to deal with. (I did buy these rolls too so that I could have something different to use the following year). Hah!! I felt so proud of myself when I started to cut the roll ends off to make them fit. Five different knives, two different pairs of scissors and two types of saws later I finished. My arms felt dislocated and my hands felt sprained but it did work. Don’t know if I will do that in the future but I now have the smaller and larger rolls neatly stored away. The thing is that I seem to need less paper as the years go by as all my children are adults now but I will donate it to a shelter organization when I fancy a change of print.
