Bruno is consistent. He consistently creates lots of chances and is heavily involved in United’s play. He doesn’t mean consistent point returns. That’s on the forwards who are inconsistent finishers.

Damn that’s tough. Initially inclined to say go for the mins with Bruno/Isak - especially with Dec schedule on horizon - but would you rather be invested in New/Utd or Ars/Bri, and it’s the latter for me. Plus their fixtures are better for longer. It’s just the injury/fitness concerns with JP/Saka

@@Pete-tr4zvyeah my thoughts are on the same lines. I’d love the Isak-Saka combo. I’m still not sure about JP’s minutes long term and not 100% sure how Bruno will be under a new manager. I’m going back and forth between the two. The JP/Saka combo is also about a million cheaper which would mean a big upgrade elsewhere too.

But, if you're anything like me, I'm wanting to get players in place to run right into Jan without tfrs booked so I can roll as many as possible for dealing with inevitable injuries/suspensions. And over next few months Ars/Bri fixtures are really appealing. They just feel like more reliable attacking teams. Also, like you say, no idea what impact Amorim has with Utd and New can blow hot and cold (Isak in great form now, but remember start of the season?)

from a general view point you shouldnt take hits if you dont have to and since you are using it to bench boost i dont think you should. you can bench boost later

I’m one of those aggresive managers who likes to take hits. Last gameweek I took a -8 to bring in bruno and hojlund and took a -4 to bring in Salah in gw9. Taking hits is generally not recommended because the players you bring in must score more than the amount of hits you’ve taken…but it doesn’t have to happen all in a single gameweek. Hits are taken if you want to keep the player for medium or long term. For example, I transfered out smith rowe and dcl for bruno and hojlund. Bruno and hojlund got me a combined 19 pts while smith rowe and dcl would’ve gotten me 13 pts so in this case I got a net loss of -2 pts after considering the -8 hit. But that’s just this gameweek. I still have ipswich and everton for both to return so time will tell if the hits were worth it. It’s all about taking risks. If bruno didn’t perform, I would’ve been very stressed out by now. Also, I took the hit to catch price rises and avoid price falls. In your case, try to compare the players you want to bring in with the players you’re transfering out. If you can wait, then wait. Not all transfers have to be done at once. Here’s some factors to consider when comparing the players: - fixtures - form - price changes - urgency Lastly, this may be a bad advice…but taking hits is more fun since it allows us to have the players we want. About the bench boost, I would really not recommend taking hits just to play the bench boost. The points gained would be very small and can sometimes be a net loss when considering the hits taken. Save it for a double gameweek.

Isak was a great differential for me this week. Been a rough season so far but Isak, Cunha and swapping Salah for Haaland was a welcome boost for first green arrow in weeks this GW.

Strangly right now we are spoiled for choices when it comes to forwards, which is a change from the early part of the season where the midfield was seen to have a better selection. wissa, isac, wood, cunha, Jimiez and now Pedro and all of that without mentioning Haaland and most of them under or just a little over 6 mill.

So here is the logic: Does the player you are bringing in have a high chance of outscoring the player you are replacing for the period planned? For me, I would definitely bring in Isak for his next 2GW and I don't mind bringing Haaland back after those 2GW or GW 18 when Haaland fixtures become actually Juicy.

There's been a lot of talk about Cunha for weeks now, and don't get me wrong, he's great, and people were really happy when he got that good of a return this week. But to see someone over a million cheaper deliver the same result in 25 minutes against a much stronger team... But sure, only time will tell who'll be the best FPL investment in the long run. One gameweek isn't much to go by.
