Great reaction. Bruno and Anderson are on the same record label and Anderson was the opening act for the European leg of Bruno’s 24K Magic Tour. They started hanging out in studios together during the downtime between shows. Later, during the Covid pandemic, they started going to the studio together in LA and came up with the idea of doing an album together. Bootsy gave them the Silk Sonic name.

This was actually the 1st song they started messin with even before Covid, when Anderson’s group was opening for Bruno on his 24 K Magic tour. Then during pandemic, nobody was hittin live, & Bruno called Andynon his b’day to come to studio & fishish the song. After 1 day, Bruno say, ‘Youncomin back tomorrow?’ 😅 It turned into a whole project. Best thing to come out of the shutdown, no doubt. 👍🏾

I did the same , I laughed so much the first time I watched it. I almost choked on soup😂 I love you guys reaction coz it’s same as mine 😂. I had to watch the music video over and over . The delivery of this song was sarcastically funny , they blended and feed of each other most excellently. Love the 60s 70s vibe to the music video The dead man spot pose was perfect 😂. You two had the best first reaction video for this song , listened to the lyrics, very open and real and quick.

"Smokin Out The Window" songwriters: Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, and D'Mile Producers: Bruno Mars and D'Mile Music Video Directors: Bruno Mars and John Esparza Bruno and Andy started writing this song in 2017 when Andy was opening for Bruno in Europe. They ran into some problems with the song so they dropped it. Bruno figured it out in 2020 and called Andy to come into the studio where Bruno was already working with D'Mile.
