+SLSmusic Thanks so much for the nice compliment! It makes me happy when people like yourself enjoy the work I put in to these songs. Best of luck to you! Keep practicing those Hanon exercises, scales, and arpeggios, and also the 7th and 9th chords in all inversions :) with either hand. I found it helped to start with playing the chords with left hand and melody in right hand, and avoiding playing an octave with left hand but instead try 7th or 9th intervals. Also I listen to Herbie Hancock recordings and try to copy what he does so that I get used to more unusual voicing and rhythm.

this is a wonderful video and arrangement, but I just can't help but notice the soft clicks every time you press a key. something off in the audio recording, or is it just me?

+Zach I was experimenting with a new piano sound; it's actually a "close-mic" sound where the mics are near where the hammers strike the strings and you can hear the felt cloth parts clicking. I liked it because it sounds like the old piano I used to play growing up... but yeah maybe to most folks that sound would be distracting. :)
