Holly (his mom) is half English (Joseph) and half Italian (Suzi Q) which makes Jotaro a quarter Italian. Giorno on the other hand is half English (Dio) and half Japanese but raised in Italy.

Ethnicity, nationality and race are all irrelevent in Jojo. It is just an excuse for Araki to have the story take place somewhere with a cool aesthetic that he can link with a specific narrative, like Italy with The Mafia for example. We have Italians that do the Japanese bow even though it's not part of Italian culture, Mista's fear of number 4 when it's a superstition only common in East Asian countries, Part 3 characters from all over the world communicate in Japanese except when they say an english word or two for the memes, and i can go on. The characters are written in Japanese, they speak Japanese and act Japanese, even if they're *insert random nationality*. Because the characters are written by a Japanese person with a Japaneses perspective for a japanese audience, they will always end up feeling more Japanese than anything else.

I waited for so long till you reach part 5. It's crazy as hell. And Bruno is my favorite character in all JoJo I wanna give you an advice guys, part 5 fights are kinda insane, so after you finished an episode I recomend check the plays that you are confused about. Some maneuvers really need to be seen at least twice to fully get, and that makes you understand how stands are being exploited way more. Anyway I'm not worried, you are not slow at all. But stands are confusing so keep that in mind haha
