I use to watch this episode all the time as a kid! I could never remember the name but always remembered a train station and a night club...I found this again when I was looking on some old vhs tapes. Mr Rossi is amazing.

He looks similar to Filemón (from that spanish comic series with a lot of different names out of Spain)

The panning shot of him leading up to the bed near the end is pure genius.

The animation is uncannily like Jay Ward's. Does anyone know if there was any influence, and in what direction?

Reminds me more to Pink Panther, or spanish «Tebeos»... Kinda 60s style

Correction: It's just UPA style
@yelloweyeball4 жыл бұрын
Well the same modernist style of cartooning was popular in America at the time, as well as both sides of the Iron curtain. There were some Jay Ward characters in the background that I've thought looked similar to rossi, but since the designs are purposely simple to begin with, it's just a coincidense.

@offbeat65 Hark! my brothers! Gander at the absurdity of how this animation was created. The artisans responsible for this creation have used a technique in which a new frame is introduced only every half second! It has a distinct lack of craftsmanship, and to put it simply, it's a cheaply manufactured, low effort money grab. My visual perception is offended by the harsh jittering movements due to the artisans only adding novel information in every twelve out of twenty-four frames of animation. I'd like to formally apologize to you about how casual my language usage was, i shall henceforth expand my verbosity in all parlance, to avoid your pathetic sensibilities
