I was a child when I watched this first time (early 2000s) and I said to my dad: "Italians and Turks have a lot of common. " After years I learned that almost every Mediterranean nation has similar behaviors. It is interesting to see that just having connection to one sea brings a lot of common culture.

Accurate portrayal....I shortly leave for Italy so I am preparing myself mentally to face the chaos. This will be my 17th trip there in the past 53 years.
