I love how you can do certain spares on these machines easily Huge Advantage!😀
@jasonsmith3537 Жыл бұрын
Lol, I work on them. No sensors anywhere on the machine... Closest thing you get are the magnetic switches on the switch cluster cam. Pin detection is a plate on the back of the pin holder that touches a pin and presses it into a switch... Still solenoids, belts, and switches. It's all about timing and adjustments like the rest. Not gonna lie..... The number 1 flaw are pins in the ball accelerator.. Frames per stop are considerably less than the A2....Mainly because of all the distributor parts. Green belts stretch or saturate with oil....even with daily cleaning...meaning the pins slip on the belt. The corners sometimes allow pins to back up... Shark adjustments are constant... We get more EL calls and 04 etc calls due to backups on the dist. Even after replacing all the belts and getting everything adjusted just right.... We are struggling to make 1200fps on 9yr old setters.

Pin detector sensing plate ... hmmm. Same thing we originally used, but for pindication, long before automatic scorers and scanners showed up! While still working in the industry, I kept asking management why are we using scanners instead of pin sensing plates to run the scoring. I have never dealt with an AS-80 scanner that never gave me any issues. Back to basics ... pin sensing plates!

It's not 100% accurate pin count because it cannot read out of range pins. The AMF sonar pin detection system could accurately score out of range pins and in black lights. However, even AMF's sonar was not 100% accurate.

@@Daniel-wj6rv. Also if you’re lucky that the Ball Return has a Set Button (not Reset Button), you can recover your shot the fastest way without waiting on a lazy ass mechanic to manually set your pins back up. Let’s say you left a 2-5 and the GSX Table accidentally drops the 5 Pin, you can just push the Set Button, the Sweep comes down and swept the incorrect set and sets you up a new fresh set of the 2-5. Also the GSX are continuing to spread, so you’ll find those pinsetters near by easily.

@@riversarcadereview385 No problem. I used to bowl on GS-92's at a mall when I first got into Bowling at 9 Years old in 2011 and I love and miss bowling on them when that place burned down in 2017. I was heartbroken from that to see it gone because I felt betrayed when my current local mall Bowling Center first opened in 2013, I bowled there more because they had 82-90XL Pinspotters while the GS-92's on the other hand are falling apart but it was only in 2017 (months before those GS-92's were burned) when I start seeing signs of AMF Pinspotter breakdowns and I eventually realized these are worse than the GS-92's.

There are still A2’s mostly in America but here in the Philippines there’s only probably 4 or 5 of these Brunswick A’s, A2’s and Jetbacks since some of these rest are Brunswick GS but I’m disappointed that most centers in this country are AMF because our Legendary Filipino Bowler (Paeng Nepomuceno) was part of the AMF Staff before and created the AMF-Puyat (a Franchise Bowling Business like Bowlero), I’m not saying AMF is bad, of course it’s great but it’s just I love Brunswick from the heart and I don’t care if AMF is simplistic but Brunswick is more on less irritating because it prevents from damage parts which was the prone on AMF like the Distributor Arm which causes Pin Jams and the Belt or the entire machine should stop running just like what the A2’s did when the cross conveyor was overloaded of pins, the pinwheel will stop but no AMF just keeps the trouble going like they don’t care.

@@thefriendlyteenager726 Reliability is why but there are a few things worth about GSX Pinsetter is they still let pins fly freely, not like those String Craps that hangs pins for suicide.
