Oh my God I'm so happy!! 5 weeks I've been punishing myself because I can't make a stinking circle..I didn't need to make a circle. I just needed to push and release..I can draw a W and B and C and I have now figured it out!! Thank you Kelly. I can't beleive you do this for free in KZbin! You are so giving! I'd love to meet you and all the lettering friends I've met in here while ripping my hair out on such frustration!! It's like bowling or fly fishing or golf or any thing that needs aiming. Once you find that "Sweet spot" you know EXACTLY HOW THAT FELT and you will forever know where to go or how to stand or in here how I held my pen... now i Know WHAT OH FEELS LIKE TO make a letter connect to another one and so on and so on!!!!! Absolutely fantastic. I’ve seen so many do the strokes and when to stop and lift your pen but you doing this in real time was amazing. ❤ This is the best tutorial I’ve seen and it’s so inspiring knowing how slow you went and pausing to show us even a beginner that it’s so easy to do. Wanted to thank you for this video and also the free worksheets you have up online. Earlier this year, I wanted to dip my toe into the water of brush lettering. So after buying a cheap set of brush pens from Five Below (probably the wrong kind of tip, haha), I discovered your worksheets and have had a fun time practicing along with those. Then I branched out to music lyrics...now I'm doing affirmations. But the tips in this vid are helping me take lettering to the next level. You da best.

Great video! My biggest problem is not with the strokes, it's with connect the letters to each other. Practice, practice (something my mother would often say)

I think the only way you can find if your brush pens don't bleed through is by doing tests. Every pen ink is different on paper, especially with water.

How on the world can you draw those tiny thin up-strokes With those giant brush pens??? HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS?? I've spent hours and hours practicing. I've spent money on your brushes. Crayola broad point.... Tom bow brushes. .I have books and videos showing me this easy, following, gliding large pens making perfect circles and ovals and lid Little tiny skinny lines come from your hands... I can't use large brush pens to do ANYTHING!😫 (😂🤣🤣)... I know...I need more practice...I DON'T WANNA PRACTICE ANYMORE!!! I JUST WANT TO MAKE ONE SINGLE GOOD LOOKING LETTER WITH A CIRCLE AND A SKINNY LINE COMING FROM IT WITH A GIANT PEN !!
