painting sticks work really good to apply the colors. You can actually drag them across the surface into the flood coat to make interesting veins. Great job and wow it looks amazing on the final piece!

You did a fabulous job! It definitely looks real and you made it look easy. I’d LOVE to try this. I’ve watched several videos on the subject BUT I started crafting and I have a cluttered, chaotic bedroom. Now, I’m flipping a little side table, in another room. I’m going to put this on the hold list, for now, so my hubs doesn’t feel like he needs to sleep in his barn-cave. 🤪 💕

Brandy, why don’t you use the bigger cup to add both A and B? It has measuring marks on the outside. Then you won’t need to use your silicone cup. Just wondering. 🙂
@monicamcgrath23433 жыл бұрын
Replay, so awesome. How long a wait from the time you used the torch gun the first time did you need to wait before top coat of A and B? It looks like no time at all? How did the two coasts not smear?

The first coat dried 24 hours before the clear went over

I do a lot of countertops with resin, I prefer stone coat countertop resin cheaper to use. long open working time as well. you might check out their channel! you did a fantastic job of course! they also carry a top sealer that drys matte! and has very high u.v resistance! Love everything you do!

I cannot understand why you would use real marble as a base to make faux marble! As a former antiques dealer, I'd say that you did the original piece of furniture no service by painting the original wood white and then pouring resin over the gorgeous brown marble top piece! All your work had a good result, but I think you should've chosen a cheap piece of new furniture to do your modifications on, not an antique piece...
