ASMR is automated sensory meridian response, I believe. Its that sleepy, tingly feeling one gets from watching relaxing, rhythmic things like backrubs, scratching, scalp massage, whispering, etc. I dont believe everyone is lucky enough to experience it, but its also known as a 'braingasm' or 'mindgasm'

Perfect - other then the rather loud noise at 2:05 - PERFECT to me. This was a brilliant choice of yours (the brushing noise). Thank you very much.

As a teenager, Bob Ross' show was one of my first exposures to ASMR. Of course, at that time, I didn't understand why listening to him made me feel very relaxed and sleepy. LOL

this is awesome and so incredibly relaxing. i just recently discovered the term "asmr" and i realized that i'm not the weirdo everyone says i am! ;)

This one never fails me. Within the first 3 strokes I get that "thick" mental feeling, the pre-happy brain state. The sounds and rythmes and motions are perfect. I just hate that one little brush clatter when switching them at 2:05.

There is something special about this video. When you use the small brush on the logo, I got visual ASMR for the first time. The pacing is perfect with this video, even though Im expecting it it still always happens. Fucking classic

A belated 'thank you' for your explanation. When you said not everyone experiences it, it reminded me that long ago Casey Kasem said Stevie Wonder had the ability to see certain colors in his mind based on the notes & chords he heard. Also a skill that not everyone has, so they said. Thanks again, take care.

This is very nice. An idea - how would it be to do one with brushes as well as the painting knife? Bob Ross' tapping the knife on the palette and scratching in water lines always gets my ASMR going... Maybe throw in a little brush beating now and then ;)

Tyra, if I forgot to say 'thank you', then here goes. I appreciate your explanation. One of those sensations I guess many of us always had, and craved, but never knew exactly what it was called, and whether other people felt it too. Thanks, take care my friend.

oh wow, I clicked on this video in the side bar by accident before swapping to another tab I had open in Chrome, I heard the initial camera white noise before the brushing started and swapped back, and was hit by immediate tingles after the first stroke.. I can never set off my ASMR by watching videos normally.. I think its because I wasn't trying to this time..
