You don’t need all of that. I’m from the era of wavers that would be considered old school. A can of Murray’s, one brush and a durag was all that you ever needed. Your waves stayed in even after coming out of a pool from swimming. Now the new cats are saying you need 3 brushes to push products? That’s insane.

Lil bruh just talking to post, I been a wave head since 04’ and was maxed out 360 as deep as they could go with just a medium brush. Different brushes help for different lengths of your hair. But you can get the job done with just 1 type of brush if need be

It took a dip back when fitted caps, twist, and unkept hair gained popularity. I didn't say anything about dreads or braids, as they've only gained popularity. This is due to society being more accepting of bIk hairstyles. You'd be less likely to get a job with dreads or cornrolls. There's a waysist history behind hairstyles that people should know. The media, more specifically hip hop and rnb influences hairstyle trends. Waves were in the pretty boy era of people like Soulja boy, Chris Brown, and Sean Kingston. Before that were box cuts from rnb. Afro is the disco trend. Twist and dreads were made trendy by people like Future, Chief Kief, and Migos when drill and trap music became popular.

Most ELITE waves perfer Flat brushes but they both have different task. Flats are mainly use for vertical brushing to break forks while curve is used for horizontal brushing because of the curve. The cure brush is also great for crown because of the pointy tip. So pick the one you prefer the most.
