Brussels Airlines A330-300 Business Class LHR-BRU-NBO Inaugural flight!

I flew on the very first flight from Brussels (BRU) to Nairobi (NBO) on June 3rd 2024 with Brussels Airlines, launching the important connection between Belgium and Kenya once again. It's the first time I had flown since the carrier had undergone its renovation, and it was great to see the 'Boutique Hotel' in the sky in action, although where I found the hotel touches wasn't exactly where I expected.
From stepping onboard the connecting flight from Heathrow (LHR) to Brussels (BRU) I could see that this sibling of the Lufthansa Group, like Austrian, like Swiss, is working much harder than its mothership, and the crew are by far one of the standout elements.
Are the seats the best in the skies, well, no. But they are well appointed for its price point, and can often be found for 10% cheaper than its competitors in Europe. A cheap business class ticket, great service and comfortable business class seat (Prices can be found around €2300 return from Heathrow). And of course, an inaugural flight means some special extra treats along the way. Just watch right until the end for the very best arrival greeting.

An interesting airline obviously in transition but making a huge effort and well worth consideration. First class report as usual, most enjoyable.

It's honestly a top tier airline. I flew it multiple times and first class was more enjoyable than many other large carriers.

WOW!!!! What a lovely, warm and attentive crew.. Very impressed by the menu too, high quality!! Everything looks so appetizing and fresh!!! Love the Neuhaus box presented to each passenger!!! It’s the small things!!! Unfortunately only used them on Intra-European sectors but after watching this, I would love to try them on long haul, it’s just that they just seem to have quite a limited offer outside of Africa and maybe a couple of North American destinations but on my bucket list for sure!!! Have a great time in beautiful Kenya!!! Hakuna Matata 😊

Sad to hear that people somehow expect 'less' of Brussels Airlines (compared to Austrian/Swiss/...). Let's not forget SN is not a 'new' airline, but the successor of Sabena (hence their iata code SN), a legacy carrier founded in 1923 with loads of experience and history (especially in Africa). Great review nonetheless! :)

sabena was great airline and had many flights to US but not brussels only jfk lufthansa destroyed beautiful airlines such SWISS AIR today swiss is far behind of swissair and lovely Austrian airlines its sad but true but I must tell you these seats are so uncomfortable
