@edmonton67 I wish these 707s were never withdrawn from service. I loved the 707 and had the pleasure of boarding dozens of them throughout the world from 1960 through the early eighties.

Listening to a 707 and KC or anything with the same engine is good enough for me. You don't hear it every day now. TF-33 is a classic jet sound.

It really is an amazing sound. I would love to have a JT3D noise machine and stick it unde the hood of my car. Flew on the last scheduled 707 in the continental US in 1983. Unfortunately I was stupid and sat behind the wing, so this music was denied my ears.

Lovely engine sound. I´ve noticed that this 707 has a refueling pod under its tail. It might also be a KC-135 stratotanker.

Very awsome video!!! This bird was delivered to CAAC (China) as B-2416 in January 1974 before conversion into military aircraft (tanker + transporter) by Israeli Airforce.

Are there efforts out there trying to preserve and keep around aircraft of significance like the venerable 707?

@pacificbound67 the 135 is shorter, smaller wings and is lighter. the 707's fuselage is also taller than the 135's. The only thing that is bigger about the 135 is its engines. they both were derived from the same prototype, but the 135 was built before the 707 and are not the same plane what so ever.. they may look similar, but their airframes are much different. The only 707's the military uses is the e-3 AWACS.
