This episode was immensely helpful for me. Thank you very much!! I’m in a similar circumstance. My GPA is at around a 3.3/5 which probably converts to 2.69/4. I was initially on the honor role in University with a 4.3/5, but had traumatic life experiences that affected my studies. I am an international student (Nigerian/black), and I am confident I can score in the 170s on the LSAT. We took logic courses in undergrad and I was really good at them. I thought all hope was lost because of my GPA, but now I’m just going to try to ace the LSAT. Once more, thank you!!

If Anonymous were to get a higher LSAT score (160+), could they include an addendum with the application to explain the reason for a second Bachelors? I think the second degree highlights their willingness to do whatever it takes to increase the chance of getting into law school. Maybe the narrative could point the admissions committee to the second degree transcript and the committee would then see the improved grades.

It can certainly help to include an addendum addressing a better performance during a second bachelors. They can comment on the extent to which their performance increased, and maybe add in some numbers like “I got a 4.0 in the classes I took in pursuit of my second bachelors”. This can help, but it certainly doesn’t erase the UGPA that will be reported to the ABA.

That's a big IF. The person doesn't seem to have what it takes. Bad GPA, bad LSAT means getting accepted at a bad law school, if at all. He likely won't pass the bar. He'd be better off taking classes at a community college to improve his pay potential.
