It was said that paul Murphy was so brilliant in chess that there were no competitor to his level at that time Which made him lose intrest in chess.

So quickly Morphy was able to move his pieces to the hfile while bauchers three pieces were in the eighth rank and two in the seventh the king helplessly on h8 that was bad planning by boucher

Also i think the point of rf7 is because blacks position is cramped, so he wants to move his f-pawn, to free his bushop and his knight. So he needs both rooks on the f-file to support the pawn push. Unfortunately his plan was too slow and when Morphy played f5 the pawn push could never be executed.

He wasted his move on rook rather than bringing his queen to the f file probably would have been better he reached a mental block it seems paralyzed by Morphy's move of rook and queen in tandem
