Don't be so hard on it. Although it hasn't aged well, it was standard for the time. Keep in mind that Street Fighter II is still playable by today's standards, for so many good reasons. Capcom had a bigger budget than almost every game studio of the time, which attracted the best talent in the business and their technology from then is still usable today.

Renting this as a kid, I really enjoyed it. I still love the aesthetics and, I dunno, vibe of it? The effort put into the levels, the map, and the freaking character selection is all top notch. The gameplay....well...yeahhhhhhh. XD

The SNES game is honestly a guilty pleasure of mine. Like, I know it’s not a good game, but I do enjoy learning the moves, and the ugly characters kinda grew on me. In the SNES version, specifically, you can pull off moves before you learn them if you know the combos. The 32X game, though, is in my Top 10 worst fighting games i've ever played, though.

Sega had some the coolest games but the controller is the worst controllers ever... yea the 6 button was better but games were made for the 3 button so the 6 button did nothing extra... i love sega games tho the Genesis was just ahead of its time a little bit and missed the mark w the controller.
