Something about the formulation and shade match in the aboutface foundation is magical. I feel like everyone moved on from it too quickly but its the sleeper hit for me.

I absolutely love trying foundations. I only loved 3 drug store foundations Maybelline skin tint, ELF satin foundation and Revelon Silk serum. Haus labs is a HG but since trying the Fenty Soft lit i honestly love my skin and get more compliments with the Fenty. I enjoy the LYS skin tint stick, One Size full beat, MAC studio radiance, About Face, Hourglass soft focus, and Armani silk. These are my phenomenal foundations.

Video Idea💡 Rewatch your old best of(said year) videos and see if you still like those products after a couple years? Like if you like a newer product better than the ones you LOVED in the videos. Ex.foundations concealer,eyeshadows or the best makeup in general

The about face foundation is my new go to, they actually had my shade. I'm usually the lightest shade of foundation but they actually made one that's cool toned. The other "cool" fairs are either pink or yellow

It’s very strange that people are turned off by a foundation with a doe foot and most don’t object to a concealer with a doe foot applicator.

This always amuses me too. Seems like cognitive dissonance. Two of my favorites (about face and Neutrogena hydro boost) both have doe foot applicators.

I think I purchased about 15 new foundations last year, high end to drug store. They were all basically the same with minor differences. I finally sprung for the Tom Ford shade and illuminate and that’s when I found my holy grail. It’s nice to try trendy things but for me foundation needs to stand out because it’s what everything else sits on. The shade and illuminate helps me apply less make up because it makes my skin look superb.

Morgan HELP me! I wish I could try as many foundations as you. I’m thankful that you do I’m very close to your dry skin type and your skin tone and I love your recommendations. I have freckles and a little bit of discoloration and ALOT of redness(rosacea) to cover, but no acne or texture. I stick to lightweight, moisturizing foundations. I want to try a foundation that sets down on the skin, has decent wear time but doesn’t look dry and I don’t want to powder it. I do have dry skin so I am scared. I don’t think I’ve ever tried a matte foundation. Out of the 40 you reviewed I’m trying to decide between the urban decay face bond, the Bobby Brown, or the Natasha powder foundation. I want a dry down of the urban decay but I like the thought of how you said the Bobby Brown is weightless on the skin because I don’t really care for the feel of heavy make up. I have always wanted to try a powder foundation, but none have worked out for me. That’s why I’m drawn the Natasha. I know what you’re gonna say….You recommend the Fenty lol I do have that and I do love it but I don’t looooooove it. What would you pick for me?!?!
@Happy2Run4Me2 күн бұрын
I wonder how similar the Wet n Wild stick foundation is to the Dior stick foundation since that one was a decent dupe for the Tom Ford one (I think or maybe it was a dupe for the Hourglass stick?). I’d be interested because I have lots of the WnW stick foundation and have ❤ed it for years. *curious Btw, Morgan I love your reviews as a dry skin lady myself and find I’m often happy with or unhappy with the same foundations as you. I trust your professional opinion! You are very thorough and test your products well. Thank you for that! Happy New Year 🎆🎊!

I always love to try new foundations even i don't have a Channel, i have a soft spot for them. I usually go for soft matte medium / buildable high coverage ones ( i am combo). This year i've brought Mac Radiance, Revlon Colorstay and Guerlain Terracotta and the first ones i've already finished them 😂 and the Guerlain one it will be gone at the beginning of 2025 that's how much i liked these foundations. When you have a few and you grab only some all the time ,that says a lot ! I already plan on repurchase them, i just wait a sale ❤

I loved the Tom Ford stick (Porcelain) and got the Dior stick in N2 as well. The Dior feels thicker and creamier when you first put it on, which at first made me worried, but it blends out beautifully, and the effect is pretty much the same as the Tom Ford. It is long lasting as well - I do a lot of Zoom calls at work, and the Dior just makes you look airbrushed all day. Love love love. Re Fenty foundation - Martina Lily did a great comparison with Chanel Les Beiges, the cream version- Chanel wins for both her and me for the same reasons, the Fenty looks and feels almost the same but after an hour or so it starts giving you dry patches and falls apart, so I don't actually like it. The Chanel is flawless (I have normal to dry more mature skin.)

MAC serum powered foundation is my go to workhorse for looking fantastic as an RN working very long shifts. I am in the OR so i'm taking surgical masks on and off all day long. This one lasts and my skin looks beautiful from 4:30 am when I put it on til 9pm when I wash it off and shower. It's the one that I know will always look good and never dries me out. I have more dry/normal skin and it seems to wear IN rather than wear OFF if that makes sense. I usually wear the hydrating fenty primer first and set with lys natural finish setting spray to melt all my stuff together ie hourglass powders and rms blush/highlighter. If i'm not using the mac i'm going for turn up the base full beat by one size or fenty soft lit foundation or fenty eaze drop.

The Louboutin foundation is fantastic, and I love the Dior foundation sticks. I feel like the LYS and About Face were hard to find a match for me online, I’m 50 miles from a Sephora or Ulta, so online it is. I’m 56, normal aging skin and I love the Dior and Louboutin. I still love the Valentino.

I have been on a foundation journey this year. Loved the Dior stick but the only drawback was that it only lasted about 2 1/2 months and it was gone. I do wear foundation everyday but I feel it should last longer considering the price point. I have also enjoyed Fenty Soft Lit and next would be About Face.
@kimberlyklug81912 күн бұрын
I keep trying the Fenty Soft Lit but it always makes me look older but I am 49 😒. The Prada was too drying I gave it away, the Makeup Forever wasn’t good on my skin got rid of it, the Chanel can even look dry on me in my smile lines…. I like the Elf Soft Glam enough though. I’m pretty sure I’d like the About Face so I will try that one next….

I haaaated one/size, huda and tom ford architecture foundations. All utterly unusuable. Loved Bobbi Brown and Louboutin foundations. Both very nice indeed. The Louboutin is my HG for sure. Didn't love Prada, acted like a much cheaper foundation, and I agree about the short wear time.

The best foundation I tried this year was hands down Haus Labs. No other foundation looks so good at the end of the day as this one on my skin, it's also lightweight and looks so natural. I bought new Fenty foundation and I liked it but it looks a bit heavy and patchy at the end of a day on me (I need 12h wear time). There's also no good shade match for me, I bought 110 but it's a bit too light and pink and 120 is too dark.
