the v12 block used in lamborghinis from 1963-2010 was basically the same engine continually upgraded. kinda like the chevy smallblock of lamborghini so to speak. when the aventador was designed they finally redesigned the v12 all new. thats why the aventador sounds so different. i prefer the murcielago sound over the aventador myself.
