This song is so incredible, waited for it for like a year after I heard them play it live, such a good song on a great album. Stefanie has become so good and drummer/singing together, her vocals sound stellar head. 2nd best singer/drummer out there in my book behind only Brann Dailor of mastodon. Brutus is such a unique band and so underrated, great live act too.

Brann gets pretty pitchy when he has to play and sing live. When I saw them this week, Stephanie hit every note. Phenomenal live performance - brought me to tears!

@@jeffrey.p.thornton it’s not perfect but the last 2 times I’ve seen them I thought Brann sounded pretty good. Stefanie sings better while drumming probably but Brann is a way way way better drummer even if Stefanie kicks ass on drums too. Some of the stuff Brann plays while singing is much more complicated tho so it’s understandable while he’s vocals aren’t always spot on. Brann as a musician as a whole is one of the absolute best in the business tho from playing amazing drums to singing to writing great lyrics or even created classic mastodon riffs like the main blood and thunder riff, man does it all. Stefanie and Brutus absolutely rule too tho and I’ve loved all 3 of their albums, hope someday they can be big enough for a nice headline tour in the US so I can get the chance to see them Live

@@puppetmaster8551 Brann is maybe the best drummer in heavy music these days, and I don't want to take anything away from him. I think drums are the hardest instrument to combine with singing because drumming is so physical, and your lungs can't contain enough breath to commit to both instruments. Brann, I think, prioritizes the drums, which impacts his singing live. OTOH, I feel like Brutus intentionally simplifies the rhythms during the sung parts of their songs so that Stephanie can sing in full voice. She can definitely play, and she really shows it during the breakdowns - but you hear a lot of basic 4/4 beats during the choruses, nothing but snare and kick drum. What I was trying to communicate is that it pays off: her live vocals are fantastic, and she never has to cheat. Just haunting stuff. I'll be pulling for you to get a shot to hear them soon, brother.
