Amazing to still hold the record 16 weeks at No1 for a single with "Everything I Do". I heard him sing it in 1991 at the MK Rose Bowl in the late afternnon on a sundrenched day and it was just MAGIC and Super Fab. Recently I researched the same for Lp's and that amazed me. "Bridge over Troubled Water" 33 weeks at No1 in 1970 for Simon & Garfunkel unbroken ...

I was a kid when this song came out and MTV was still doing weekly charts. Every single week, month after month, we watched the countdown and this was #1 over and over again. It was magical and kinda nuts! SO happy to have be a child in the 90's.

6:12 - he’s spot on. Most people that buy a ticket to the gig come to hear “the hits” (unless it’s specified). Some artists become bitter about having to play certain songs (or song if they only had one hit), it’s great to hear his attitude.

What made me laugh is when he said "have I", I remember when everything, came out. I grew up in pubs and in the eighties and bars started having music videos jukebox. After school when I got home that song and robin hood video was always on, for ages. It was never ending.

Have you ever met a Canadian singer actor comedian that's so humble and their success ... I'm a Canadian , FYi he wrote that Summer of 69 and his recording label , told him we can make you a star but you have to give up the rights to the summer of 69 so he doesn't get any royalties from that song , & and Summer of 69 doesn't refer to 1969 it refers to 69er .. notice the interviewer never brought up the song Summer 69 he wrote Summer of 69 ... number 1 song where he was because his record label had a stipulation the only way you'll be able to get into to be a rockstar is to give up one of your songs He Did .... that's how they played it out back in the 80s
