I believe firing CM Punk was in the best interest of CM Punk. Wrestling is a form of combat entertainment that only works if the wrestlers trust each other. A house divide cannot stand, if Punk wants to be around people with similar interests, then what would AEW have gained holding him hostage?

"The younger AEW talent that don't listen" why listen to a douchebag that would rather throw fists and fight people than talk his issues out like the adult he likes to claim that he is? Not everyone is gonna take your advice. They don't have to if they don't want to. Maybe Punk should understand and deal with it rather than act like a little bitch when he doesn't get his way. And maybe, just maybe, "rumours" wouldn't have been spread about him if he didn't try to get Colt Cabana fired.

Danielson is right in the way AEW has grown to levels nobody expected it in such a short period of time. It was one on the reasons guys like QT Marshall and Sonny Kis are getting fired or not renewed, all that super indy stuff that AEW was know for in 2019 is almost gone, you no longer see guys like Joey Janela or Marko Stunt getting a contract because they had buzz on the indies or because they were friends with Omega or Cody, now if you watch some of their most resent signings is either a proven main event guy like Edge or a guy that WWE wants like Will Osprey or young wrestlers that clearly had tons of potential like Skye Blue or Billie Starkz Its no longer the 2019 super indy company with 1 weekley show,1 youtube show and 4 PPV´s a year Now in 2023 its a huge company with 3 weekley shows, 5 Tv Specials and 7 PPV´s plus ROH with a weekley show and 4 PPV´s with partnerships with other companies

They respect each other, but from what I’ve heard, they’ve never been close friends. They just admire each other and crossed paths a lot in their careers

If you're on tv, money involved is so big, even if that company is losing it. Clear Punk helped aew for tv and some crowd draw...now they need damage plan and to NOT self sabotage pivot TOO

Bryan is the grown up in the room and did the right thing in firing CM Punk. Punk has never said anything about being fired cos he knows he was in the wrong, and now, AEW is in a much healthier place. Yes, CM Punk was good for making money, but clearly a bad person on a day to day working environment, he had no friends at work because he is a bad character. The fans don't see it cos they don't want to see it. Wrestling is a community and a family and you don't attack that but CM Punk has done that too many times eg AEW Jack Perry😮😮😮

Imagine your company being so badly run that you have the talent/employees in charge of discipline instead of the boss. I love AEW, but as a company they’re VERY badly run!! Tony NEEDS to stop being a friend! It’s okay to be friends with your employees and it’s great that he wants a relationship and wants to care for them. But he needs to find a balance. Vince for all his many flaws, back in the day he was buddies with several wrestlers but still put his foot down! TK needs to do that too

@@Bill-lg1xy Wrestler’s court wasn’t an end all be all though. Vince was the man in charge. Vince never assigned or created roles to discipline other wrestlers. The wrestlers took it upon themselves to create it. Tony Khan literally put together a committee of wrestlers to discipline his locker room. It makes no sense

Nothing can change unless Tony admits there is a problem. Tony needs real management and bookers. Until Tony treats it like a business and not a personal playground AEW will continue to spiral down a drain.

Hes not like the other wrestlers tho when hes still an active wrestler weilding this kind of power over other active wrestlers! Legally this could be a conflict of interest of any disgruntled wrestler takes this to court!
