Danielson is right in the way AEW has grown to levels nobody expected it in such a short period of time. It was one on the reasons guys like QT Marshall and Sonny Kis are getting fired or not renewed, all that super indy stuff that AEW was know for in 2019 is almost gone, you no longer see guys like Joey Janela or Marko Stunt getting a contract because they had buzz on the indies or because they were friends with Omega or Cody, now if you watch some of their most resent signings is either a proven main event guy like Edge or a guy that WWE wants like Will Osprey or young wrestlers that clearly had tons of potential like Skye Blue or Billie Starkz Its no longer the 2019 super indy company with 1 weekley show,1 youtube show and 4 PPV´s a year Now in 2023 its a huge company with 3 weekley shows, 5 Tv Specials and 7 PPV´s plus ROH with a weekley show and 4 PPV´s with partnerships with other companies

Its easy to say "AEW screw up by firing Punk" and giving him to WWE but it was a thoug choice that had to be done because You keep Punk and he was basically going to keep getting himself in trouble with anyone releated to The Elite guys, and eventually AEW was going to lose a bunch of key guys like Omega and Hangman in the long run just to keep 1 man happy and giving him special threatment(Punk) You fire Punk and you lose a big if not your biggest star, you derail Collision entire purpose , but you keep a huge part of your roster "happy" by firing him and make adjustments to Collision Basically Tony was with a choice, who are you going to lose to WWE??? a collective group of guys (Bucks, Hangman, Omega and their friends like Jack Perry) or just 1 man (Punk) And it was the correct choice but difficult
