Thanks man, I appreciate you! Try to practice double taunts, so that you always track after the opponent when he techrolls. Either bind taunt to one button or buffer it. And then use the replay feature of the game to practice catching the bot when he techrolls and backdashes. Good luck!

Thanks man! Yeah, it's something new I'm trying out right now. I got a bit frustrated when all my SS JU punishers whiffed against certain female characters or other matchups because their hitboxes went into a ducking position, making the high from JU whiff. That's why I'm training myself to learn punishing like this as well, so I can master both SS JU and SS QCF1!

Do you buffer qcf after a side step or do you start the whole input after you see them miss? And why not just do side step jet upper instead?

I just press qcf1 to do the instant ws1 after sidestep. It's something I'm trying out to use as sidestep punish right now, when I'm uncertain in the matchup. Sidestep Jet Upper can sometimes whiff if the opponent is In a crouching position after they whiff their attack. But qcf1/ws1 will catch the opponent cause it's a mid. That's why I'm getting used to using it right now. They both have their advantages!

@LawFury is there a specific reason you opt for it instead of jet upper from a sidestep is it quicker or is it just easier or some other reason? I am a shaheen main who picked up bryan 3 months ago and both are the same rank now at tekken king and I enjoy bryan more so it kinda slowly feels he will be my main. Trying to crack into emperor with him.

@@hamzaghoka Both options have their strengths! The sidestep Jet Upper is a faster launcher, making it an excellent choice for punishing quickly. However it’s a high move, so it can whiff if the opponent’s hitbox shifts into a lower stance. Like when they’re using moves with high crush properties, if they’re ducking after a whiffed attack or if their whiffed attack somehow has evasive properties at the end of it's animation. On the other hand, while WS1/QCF1 is a bit slower, it hits mid, which avoids the risk of whiffing against opponents who duck or have high crush moves. Good luck with your grind to Tekken Emperor!
