This guy is as good as Levi on Tropical Tidbits. Levi goes into more detail but Bryan seems geared to appeal to a wider audience (higher level discussion, big colorful graphics, etc). Both are top shelf.

If the Dominican Republic has tall mountains then what the 14'ers in Colorado??? 14'ers is the nickname for 14,000 plus peaks in Colorado. Okay I admit I wrong in just assuming that in the Caribbean has just hills perhaps 2,000 feet or less. But still is the fact higher than that peak are Colorado, the Cascades Mountains of Western Washington and such as Mt. Rainier. Also Grand Teton that rises over 13,000 feet on relatively flat valley floor to that peak. This is the National Park of the same name.

Brian Norcross is devoted Christian and is a very professional experienced gentleman. In 1992, Brian was the chief meteorologist here in South Florida. Hurricane Andrew was nothing but a depression off the Georgia coast. . Brian kept us very informed and told us to prepare. Well,it hit Miami & South as a cat 5. 99% total destruction. So go ahead and doubt his information, but he never let us down.
