The best I can explain why James Storm hid was he was waiting for Chris Harris, whom I assume he was feuding with at the time, to enter the ring. Just as Harris was about to get in the ring, Storm jumped in as the eighth man before Harris this Harris was eliminated. It's clever up until you realize that Storm was banking on the conclusion that Harris was going to be the last man in which he had absolutely no clue if he was or not. Just get in the ring and worry about your feud later. Still beyond stupid.

I remember I watched a NXT, or FCW episode where they had a Reverse Battle Royal. Not only did it make more sense in that episode, they didn't have guys just standing around, and Sandow did the hiding to sneak in work by hiding underneath the ring to not get hurt.

Would have been FCW as Sandow was on the main roster before the current NXT began.

I'm guessing the reason Chris Harris was added was because Rikishi probably left the company, but that tournament is classic Russo, look at the WCW Title tournament he booked in late 1999, the man can't even get a simple concept like a tournament right.

I knew nothing about this other then it was a reverse battle royal. having heard the details I can say that it is worse then I ever could of imagined. just terrible. I don't think they realized that when you have a normal battle royal there are often times where people have no one to fight. In ring it makes sense because they can use that time to rest. Outside of the ring where the goal is to make it in the ring it makes no sense. I award you no points. may god have mercy.

What if the reverse battle royal went like this, People on the outside try to get in, then the ones who get in try to get rid of the others who get are also in. That way the people on the outside are still trying to get in while the people on the inside are already get rid of people, instead of stopping at 8 people and every wrestler goes through both phases of the match. Just a thought.

As has been noted here putting up a cage would have at least brought the illusion of difficulty entering the ring. But if not that, how about a time limit to start the match? Put, say, 5:00 on the clock and in that five minutes no one is allowed into the ring; if someone enters the ring within the time limit they are DQ'd. Both ideas are eons better than making your talent look like dipshits who suddenly forget how to ENTER THE RING.

So James Storm is the highlight of the reverse part as he 'sneaks' in Then, is immediately eliminated from the battle royal. So, that was a big nothing. Then immediately beats Eric Young, who won the battle royal and the one on one match. So Young's win meant nothing. Then, Storm immediately loses to Kaz. So, that was for nothing. Kaz wins the tournament but loses the title match. So it was an overly complicated gimmick match, which made the wrestlers look stupid, full of pointless serves, pointless story and no one got over. Just to give Kurt Angle another opponent to beat.

officialacesandeight most podcasters are like backyard wrestlers, they're self taught as to how to do a radio show. Just like any other form of entertainment
