Bryan Adams

Bryan Adams

14 жыл бұрын

Filmed LIVE in Birmingham, England in 1985 for an HBO music special. This duet was originally recorded on Adams's album "Reckless" and released in November the year before.
Song written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.
Directed by David Mallet.
IT'S ONLY LOVE
When the feelin' is ended
There ain't no use pretendin'
Don't ya worry it's only love
When your world has been shattered
Ain't nothin' else matters
It ain't over it's only love
And that's all ya
When your heart has been broken
Hard words have been spoken
It ain't easy but it's only love
And if your life ain't worth livin'
And you're ready to give in
Just remember that it's only love
You can live without the aggravation
Ya gotta wanna win ya gotta wanna win
You keep lookin' back in desperation
Over and over and over again
When your world is shattered
Ain't nothin' else matters
It ain't over it's only love
If your life ain't worth livin'
And you're ready to give in
Just remember that it's only love
Yeah, that's all
Yeah it ain't easy baby
But it's only love and that's all

True story. My son and I went to see Bryan Adams in Ottawa a couple of months ago. Before Bryan started singing this legendary song, Bryan said he did this song with Tina and apologized Tina wasn't there to sing this song with him. The crowd went nuts when Bryan started singing this song. A song to always love ❤️. RIP Tina. We will continue to listen to your music.

I just saw Bryan Adams in concert (6/9/'23) at Boston Garden, and he took time to talk about meeting Tina for the first time in Vancouver and expressed his sadness about her passing! Bryan then sang "It's only love" in her honor, and it was phenomenal! I also saw Tina in concert in August of 1987 in Mansfield, MA- and she was amazing and in a stratosphere of her own! Two great titans of Rock and Rolls whose voices will always remain in my head! Grateful to the both of them for unbelievable memories...

Perfectly said as I feel the exact same way. Only my experiences seeing them both Live were in California. Saw Tina at The Greek Theatre in.the 80’s snd Bryan at The Forum. .. and just saw Bryan again at Acrisure Arena, Palm Desert CA 7/28/23. He also took the time to talk about Tina and his legendary experience of meeting and Touring with her before performing “It’s Only Love”. Song became a Worldwide hit and thanks to Tina helped put Bryan on the map and helped Bryan’s career skyrocket into stardom. So grateful they found each other musically and captured such an amazing moment in time singing this song duet. ❤ RIP Tina 🙏🏽

I thought it was great that no one made a big deal about racial differences between them (back in the 60s, Petula Clark was told not to stand too close to Harry Belafonte, but she did anyway. Good on her, too!). The public attitude was: "Wow! They sound fantastic together!" Bryan himself has never made an issue of it, to my knowledge. His response would probably be: "Yeah, so?" if quizzed about it.

If you don't think this chick was cool then your blind. Her moves, Her smile. I can't say I was a huge fan because I liked the more heavier stuff but since Tina has died, I realize just how amazing she really was. From a poor woman on foodstamps to surviving abuse to literally being the queen of Rock and Roll. Think about it, What other female rocker/singer was in her league? Don't say Janis Joplin, She was great but No Tina Turner. - Bryan, I saw 3 times in te 1980's What a talent, He could sing, play and an amazing voice. This one hurt! Atleast she's not suffering now she can show God that Nutbush truly doesn't have city limits. Rest peacefully Tina and thank you for such a cool colaboration Bryan.

Point out the musician is actually playing an instrument too. Don't see that often anymore. Well let's just face it.. music... films.. pretty much anything was far better in the 20th century than it is today. Gotten to the point where I don't even take notice of new music and films being released anymore. Just stick to the classics

@@Michael-cz6obthere are a lot. But most of them don't get famous as people value crazy shows more than talent. Pink and Lady Gaga for example are very talented artists. But they came to fame with crap and still have to put the show over their actual musical talent to keep their fame. Sad....

I remember when this premiered on MTV back in the 80's. Probably on a Friday night. Me and my friends watched it at a party. Back then i was into Van Halen , Led Zeppelin and hard rock but i thought this was awesome. She won a lot of hard rock fans over because she had a rock-n-roll heart. Thank you Tina ❤

THIS…IS…MAGIC. Haven’t watched this video in over 20 years? Wow. Tina freakin’ Turner….Bryan Adams. This is a classic. The energy on that stage….the chemistry these two had performing this song was incredible. And it was LIVE! I remember MTV playing the heck out of this video, as they were both at the top of their games at this point. Just amazing. Bryan comes out playing those opening chords…and Tina is like…”Let’s Go!”…..and it’s magic for the next 4 plus minutes! What a time to be a fan of these artists. The 80’s!!!

Also, she was around 44 years old when she made her comeback. And she did it wearing leather minidresses, denim jacket, stilettos and big 80s hair. Now it doesn't seem like a big deal, but in the early 80s, women over 40 were dressing very matronly.
@argonwheatbelly637
@argonwheatbelly637 Ай бұрын
@@NomadAngie : She dressed hotter than the kids of that time did. She carried it better, and with more class and appeal. I remember a lot of 30 and 40 somethings going for the ONJ look...at least when jogging, aerobicizing, hitting a gym, or throwing a casual backyard party. The rest of the time, it was like they were trying to please their own mothers' sensibilities in married-women's fashion, who incidentally themselves tried to play it down to their mothers.

All i can say is "Damn, Damn, Damn ❤ Tina Turner was and will always be the "Queen of Rock and Roll" and thats an Understatement. She was Fire 🔥 She did what she wanted and how sge wanted to do it. She saud she wanted to do music like Mick Jagger and David Bowie. She did that and then some. Sge hung with tge greats. Bryan Adams, David Bowie, Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger and thats to name a few. She was definitely in a class by herself. She let us know that age is just a number. She let us know it's never to late to start over and reinvent yourself from the bottom to the top with just yoyr name. Tina came in, and she showed out and showed off. She was a Powerhouse. A Legend ❤❤ Now she's earned her wings and shes singing with The Lord and David Bowie. Rip Mrs. Tina "What's Love got to do with it" Turner. You are Truly Missed 😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤
