I actually cannot fathom the fact this has just 300 views. The word 'stunning' doesn't do it justice. This is undoubtedly the most beautiful and magical-feeling piano work that's been composed for like a decade... at least I have not heard any other modern piano work that has ever made me feel the way that this does. The amount of influences in this are clearly immense in number; there's Kapustin definitely, but also it sounds like there is quite a bit of hymn-like melody and harmony in this, am I right in thinking that? That combination to me is truly so wonderful, and this extended work is just incomprehensibly perfect, like there isn't a single moment which is boring. If you aren't a professional composer Bryan, then the world is missing out, because this is so so so different from anything I've ever heard before, and that's saying something in 2023 after many decades/a century of avant-garde music. I've already listened to this twice and it's going straight to my playlist to be listened to many more times. I expect this took you a pretty long time to write, the intricacy is so evident. This is one of those works that sound so simple but the planning and meticulousness in this is clear. If I ever write an extended work, I want it to feel as magical as this has made me feel. I highly recommend that you share this on different classical music/composition subreddits if you haven't already. This deserves more recognition.

Subscribed too. You should try composing some choral music one day if you haven't already.

Thank you for the kind words! I am not a professional composer and am always very critical of my work which is why it takes me so long to complete things. I hope you enjoy my other works as well (I have another sonata on my channel). You can also check out some smaller pieces I've written on musescore. I hope to start fleshing out some other pieces soon. Thanks again!

@@BryanSaylor1 I honestly half-expected you werent a professional composer, because unfortunately almost all composers today, especially those composing keyboard/orchestral music, are scared of things sounding pleasant and actually lovely and exciting to listen to. Very sad. If more people like you were professional composers, contemporary classical music today would look very very different... Thankfully we have KZbin for the people composing really creative and meticulously crafted music like this.
