@@bestaround3323 doesn't really matter if he beat Junko in this case, since he first of all had Kyoko with him, who's really really smart, and secondly was considered unpredictable by her due to his luck and hope. In a battle of wits (not unpredictability or anything like that), assuming nobody throws the game for reasons like say, putting themselves down while praising their opponent (looking at you Nagito 👀) Nagito would definitely win. Nagito is very smart. In fact he's probably one of, if not the smartest human character in SDR2 (excluding Izuru). Makoto might be able to get Nagito to throw the game by using his Ultimate Hope status or otherwise taking advantage stuff like that, but if Nagito doesn't give in to that and actually gives enough of a shit about the game he'll win. Not to sell Makoto short or anything. He's pretty smart himself. But Nagito tends to figure things out very quickly, as shown in trials and in the Final Dead Room (where one puzzle is literally so hard for people to get that the game makes Nagito outright tell you the answer himself if you talk to Monomi about it while claiming it was easy). And then there's chapter 5, where he literally made an unsolvable case. It was only solvable because his luck was predictable enough for Nanami to realize she was probably the one who killed him. If he didn't express that he wanted to weed out the traitor, or didn't care who killed him, it would have been impossible. Makoto's great and all, but he can't pull off shit like that. A more equal battle of wits would be Kyoko and Nagito imo. I think that while they are seemingly quite different, they have similar roles for their protagonists (and straight up have the same role until the chapter 1 trial of SDR2). They're both super smart, so it'd be much harder to guess who will win. There's also Byakuya vs Nagito, but tbh that doesn't seem very interesting. It'd probably just end with Byakuya saying his time was wasted and Nagito would start degrading himself again when Byakuya quits.

He would, Naegi is more intelligent than people give him credit for. We never saw him do anything like Komaeda did, but that doesn't mean he can't. Feel like he'd be able to charm Komaeda pretty quick and then he'd never say a word against him, Naegi being the Ultimate Hope and all.

Komaeda has talent sensory powers, superb memory, analytical prowess, book knowledge and heightened perception of details. as far as their luck goes, while yes, naegi *technically* has ultimate luck, the "ultimate luck" title is received through a lottery, meaning any Japanese kid could get it regardless of actual luck. Naegi just happened to receive the title. There's nothing special about him. Now Komaeda on the other hand, although claims he's essentially talentless, actually has luck. It's not always GOOD luck but it's always one of two extremes; whether than be his plane getting hijacked on the way back from a vacation, leading to his parent's death and him receiving a large inheritance, or him finding a winning lottery ticket in the trash bag he was kidnapped by a serial killer in. Nagito has actual ultimate luck, naegi just happened to be lucky.
