Just got my H Bryntroll on my DK, did you end up using that talent build or would you like linking best talent with bryntroll ? :)

hm there is still not rly a "best" talent build, it depends on ur comp and what comps u face etc. with pala i use allmost same build, just 5/5 impurity and 1 point less into icy talons rn, with disc dk i try wandering plague build atm cause of high crit with WSF, so no BcB, i think it could be more value to have WP instead with a cleaving dmg comp, but u can also use on a pale horse 2/2 can be rly useful in any comp, its not like u must have BcB with a strong weapon and Bryntroll, it was more for fun to maximize single target dmg while people catch up on gear

E: The 2x proc chance of 2x SS dmg portion (one shaddow, one physical) mentioned in 0:12 is not a thing anymore, it got nerfed during wrath and is also nerfed in classic (this was already the case during this video and the whole time in classic, still an awesome weapon for dks) Footage was recorded first week of S8 in 2s, so some games are a bit lower mmr still, wanted to show what the weapon Bryntroll can do (277ilv hc version), seems like alot of DKs have it already as its easy to get from first boss ICC and dropchance seems quite high. Right now it can turn around even some of the rly hard matchups for DKs and even later its a good alternative to SM, alltho not overall stronger ofc (just situationally maybe, with luck). While i was usually a fan of "On a pale horse" and "Toughness" and still think they are good talents, Icy Tylons meele haste and Blood Caked Blade gain undeniably more value now compared to previous seasons, as they can help increase the weapon procs. BcB 2/3 is probably a bit meme and i did it more for fun, as i wanted to see as many procs possible, but in the end both talents are more justified now! I think the time where we can outlast and dampen Warriors/Ferals/Hunters and snack games from them with Toughness this way is finally over latest with S8 itemization xD and extra damage/burst is kinda needed with bauble in the game, so might as well go full pump spec now. Hope Blizzard doesn't insta nerf anything about this Weapon again, as its our only way to maybe somewhat cope with Bauble :D but even if not, the whole itemization in last Season will still make this our worst Season: Arp geared classes, Warr with SM, Bauble on every Healer usable during Strangulate burst etc. Gl tho if you can get this weapon its still a huge upgrade rn!

haha yea, in the beginning of the season its mixed up a bit and after placements and a winstreak can still get to high mmr and meet r1 and good players like this rly fast ;P i think this was the highest team we faced during the first weeks session tho (changed around the order of the games a bit) cheers mate!

does it proc from necrosis? or wandering plague? i heard it procs from mostly everything (like spreading disease with glyph) as long as you in melee range

When do you use blood boil instead of blood strike? Is it just when target has a high chance of dodging?

yea exactly, other than that usually vs higher armour types (mail and plate wearers), or if u wanna aoe or get someone out of stealth. if you are disarmed or a bit out of range for the bloodstrike meele attack (or think the dodge/parry/block chance is quite high like vs rogs dks, prots etc), its also not worth to wait for BS and probly better to just blood boil to get the rune and runic power going allthough with bryntroll it could be worth now to use bloodstrike more often on plates as well and gamble for procs, as bloodstrike can proc the weapon (maybe not on prots and dks outside of stuns, cause they rly can block/parry alot) at least thats what im trying right now, if bryntroll procs from the bloodstrike, finally gives it some good dmg impact for the blood rune, or at least some chance for it E: oh and even with other weapons i sometimes use bloodstrike on any armour type, when its a desperate last attempt to fish for a fallen crusader enchant proc before getting the garg snapshout out (same as in pve xd)

ehm, there is no way for me to know this for sure i also don't got the 264 in classic can only guess. some people have been reporting like 11,4% proc chance for bryntroll while others report 15%, so it COULD be the difference between normal and heroic versions, but then again somehow i doubt that they changed the proc rate on top as they alrdy increased weapon dmg, str and the proc dmg, it would be a bit too much for the ilv difference but who knows bryntroll normal version is still a really good weapon for pvp regardless rn

actually didn't play it on warmane, but i think it procs more in classic, alot of pservers had it wrong/bugged afaik or nerfed on purpose like AT (there was also only the 264ilv normal version)

eightyupgrades.com/set/gQgfhWhm7GRitqb43WwHzm these are all my gems and enchants right now, for my orc there is only minor difference to the one linked, Death Choice hc + Resil honor trinket instead of second trinket, hence a bit more strength gemmed instead of the resilience (but u can interchange these two stats for as much as u feel comfortable tbh) and im running 2x big JC gems +34 str and +34 resil in the wep atm, as well as the togc 50/50 272ilv cloak and by now i replaced one of the ulduar rings i am still wearing in the video with ring of rotten sinew (trash boe 264ilv) and ICC reputation ring (same gems as in the linked list, +10 str +10 hit in one of the yellow slots to get hitcap) My final P4 Unholy BiSlist would look like this: eightyupgrades.com/set/ecsPGc1bptQM7wgYqUzBzP (Death Choice + PvP Trinket as non human) and Bryntroll weapon can be replaced with Shadowmourne also ofc, if you want to make the effort to obtain it. It says +24 Crit enchant on boots btw, that is Engi Nitrobooster enchant, equal with +32 AP enchant, but also useful for running around outside of arena and in BGs.

@@josip7503 i think normal bryntroll is better than Shadow's Edge for DK. The proc scales with our haste talents and increased shadow/dmg talents. Even alot of Warrs seems to use Bryntroll rn in PvP and own with its proc xd

@@creepcracker ​ bryntroll normal 264 ilv normal is also stronger than normal S8 weapon yea, i think it might be even stronger still than the 277ilv 2200 rate T2 S8 Weapon tbh, the proc chance for burst and healing scaling with dk talents can be more useful than weapon dmg from the T2 Weapon, cause unholy dk raw weapon dmg is also not that great and it also has strength instead of ap so its a rly good weapon for dk even in normal form only the 284ilv LK hc sword (with strength) and of course SM with 284ilv str and an own proc can compete with it imo

bauble is disaster for DK, just not many people have it yet, SM buffing warrs more than DKs and most of the endgame items (like big 284 ilv caster haste and arp gear) is a relative nerf too. S8 has always been weakest season for Dks (when everyone is full gear) idk why it would be much different on classic. I didn't mean completely unplayable with "in the bin", just wanted to express how this item is a big nerf.
