This video is a Bryophyta F2P Boss Guide. It is part of my OSRS Hints And Tips video series. It's a quick and easy to follow guide to get you bossing Bryophyta in OSRS F2P.
The guide is Ironman friendly, with specific Ironman hints, tips and advice. Those who can utilise the GE, will definitely have an easier and cheaper experience.
This guide starts with a run through of key Bryophyta drops, as well as where she is and how to access her instance.
My Bryophyta F2P Boss Guide continues with how to defeat Bryophyta using Ranged. Starting, with my recommendations for stats, equipment and items. We then progress onto the boss instance itself, including some useful tactics and strategies. Mainly to pray, kill the Growthlings and stay away from her!
Following this my Bryophyta F2P Boss Guide covers the melee method. Once again starting with my recommendations for stats, equipment and items. Followed by the battle tactics and strategies. Basically, to pray and tank it!

None, anyone can attempt to fight Bryophyta at any level, I would suggest that base 50 is about the time to consider doing so. Completing the Dragon Slayer 1 Quest would also be very beneficial.

Varrock sewers are always ridiculously overpopulated with people farming the moss giants. You can have 3 to yourself and easily safe spot with ranged on Crandor, it’s a way better area

Back in the day Varrock Sewers we’re busy these days you can usually find a free world if you jump around a bit. What worlds are you using? I see your point in terms of Crandor being quiet though… it’s a shame both options are such a trek to get too… 😅

@@TheLumbridgeKnight Love your f2p videos! For 'mid-level' f2p players, I'd recommend Candor for ranging levels 40-70. Spend 15k-20k gp on like 10k-15k arrows and you can stay on the same world for days without seeing anyone and farm them keys! If that's what you're into, of course! Some people might also like the social aspect of grinding next to others which is totally cool too :)

Yeah that’s a fair point, if you stock up on arrows, probably grab some runes for casting alchemy you could just stay out there till you hit your key target 🎯 or your combat skill level. @@TRPL6 From the wiki: It's only 20% chance if the weapon has 1-20 slash bonus (rune axe has 26 so slightly higher than 20% chance) and isn't a slash sword.

Yeah man the kites 🪁 where it’s at for F2P ironmen 👌 hope you get it 👍 makes a big difference replacing that mith kite from the Ogresses… Definitely let me know how you get on with Obor. Be careful with that guy though he can hit hard I’d maybe get base 60 for my HCIM and always take tele runes to be on the safe side 👍 good luck man!

I said fuck it and leveled my range from 45 - 50 in the wildy from moss giants. Got 3 keys, had to run a few times from PKers but was so much fun making it to safety. Great tips as always !

Hi QuietGrave! You absolutely could! I think I just had the runes because I’m old fashioned and I find it quicker to jump on the magic menu and click the teleport, but right clicking the chronicle is probably just as fast if not faster! Great tip! Thank you for your comment!

Hello juliootarola7127! I use a client called RuneLite, it works just like the official/steam client but has some additional options. The plug in for the health and prayer is called 'Status Bars' and the item colouring is done through the 'Ground Items' plug in! Hope that help man! 👍👍👍

Aww sorry to hear that man. Out of curiosity were you switching out to melee to deal with the growthlings? At the minimums (37 prayer and 50 range) you will find that if you are unlucky with the growthling spawns it can cause you to run out of food and prayer before being able to kill her. Erm make sure you get your extra prayer point from recharging at the monastery too and I’d maybe stop praying while dealing with the growthlings 🤔 and try prayer flicking if you can too. But yeah getting to 60 ranged and some more prayer points will make it easier. Plus when your prayer goes down you can still tank her from a distance what food are you using?

She never stopped spawning growthlings. I killed 3, spawned another 3 instantly. I just want to finish these combat tasks man wtf. level 90 combat and after 20 minutes of it I just had to leave the fight. Now I gotta get another key.

That sucks man 😔 they literally spawn at random so you could get no spawns or you could get them constantly like you did… At 90 combat you would beat her easily… I’d maybe farm 2-3 keys up front so you can just rinse the instance a few times in a row 🤔 Cheers for the comment man, hope you get a quick Key drop 🍀🤞

Not worth it at all anymore. There average drop is only about 22k now. Thoe drops used to be worth between 60-80k but now that rune equipment and runes are so botted they aren't worth it.

Thanks for the comment man! 😁👍 Yeah it’s not a hard rule definitely more of a recommendation, I just think at 50 with the equipment shown it’s much easier to fight her and there’s a much bigger margin for error. You can definitely beat her with lower stats, but for example if you are unlucky and she summons the growthlings more than 2-3 times then you might run out of prayer & food before you can kill her off. If you’re confident and can prayer flick then it’s probably not a requirement 🤷🏻‍♂️ just always take tele runes to escape if things go bad! 😁👍👍 Hope that helps dude!

Yo peppapig3616! Sooo magic is only really a viable option for members, the magic equipment in F2P isn’t very good 😅 I imagine you can technically kill her with magic, but since she has a defence level of 100 and a magic level of 90, (magic defence being a mix of both), she has a really good defence against magic so you will essentially be fighting against her strongest defence with really weak magic bonuses 🤷🏻‍♂️ probably not cost or time efficient 😅 but you can try, I would recommend at least 60 magic and some good all round stats, high prayer too to have any chance 🍀 good luck if you try it!

Yo you don’t need to kill them with the axe, you just need to ‘use’ the axe on them when they are down to 1 hp. So right click, use then click on the growthling
