did the 993 heads come with 2.02 valves and 1.94? I have a set and I'd like to run them on my race car that I'm pretty sure are 2.02. I know a 2.02 valves won't work as well. If they are 2.02 can they be changed to 1.94? Thanks for the videos

Im surprised the larger bore doesn't unshroad the valve making more power? This is inconsistent with testing and base engine design theory (which the bible given to all GM new hire). Do you feel larger valves on Vortecs are worth the upgradinv if you already cutting seats, providing backcut valves, for a 4.000' bore GEN1 with Vortec heads? Thanks for the informative post.

There is a fine line when it comes to valve size and flow numbers. bigger isn't always better in a lot of cases. in a way you did answer your own question. It is theory, not law, so as it may seem like the bigger valve will give you more flow, it hurts the air speed, causing less flow

Great video! What about the 993 "Hecho en Mexico" heads? I've heard some guys say they are better than the non-Mexico heads. Any truth to that??

The heads that say "Hecho en Mexico" have smaller ports, similar to the "conv v" heads.
