Damn snow snakes! Mic sounds great. And seeing clips of myself makes me think I wasn't putting enough oomph into the spin.

I think the head looking down vs. straight around is what was getting you. Part two with your extra insights once you dial em. ✔️

These videos are great. You make it look so easy, but seeing someone else learn it is a reality check. Making the video whist you teach them & commentate is a great format. Can't wait for my next snow trip which will be in NZ to try this one.

Hey Ryan, one thing you emphasise a lot in your vids is excessive knee bending. Now that you're towards the end of the season l would be interested in seeing you test your leg strength and endurance at a gym. I think people might find that interesting and give an example of what it takes strength wise to carving so well. Thumbs up if you agree...

Hey Ryan! I'm a 26yo guy from Austria who got back into snowboarding last year (finally bought a new board) after a 7 year break. This season I stumbled up on your channel, and at this point I want to thank you very much for all the work you're putting in here! You made that little flame in me grow really big and this season I already had 20+ mountain days. I got my passion back for snowboarding and try new things everytime (like jumping and riding switch). For the next season I plan on getting a Knapton Twin, because I just LOVE carving and it's really hard at the moment on my rocker board! Greetings from Austria and all the best for your future! A big fan

Hey I'm looking the new microphone. I feel like your editing and filming has jumped to the next level this year I have a couple suggestions that I think would help a lot with your tutorials. First, now that you have a nice mic and we can hear you while watching from your videographers POV, if you could talk us through what your doing while doing the truck. Such as " I'm switching my edge control from front to back.... Now" or how and where you shift your weight. And my other suggestion would be to mount a stationary camera on your helmet pointing directly to where you're looking so we can exactly where you're looking or how you spot your landing, etc. Keep up the awesome work, I have learned so much from your videos and just hope one day my riding can look as smooth as yours.

for whom got similar problm on this. Don’t try to do bs 360 jump. front foot does not hold pressure thru the rotation. do some practice of the nose press. front foot keep pressing until the heel edge landing. Press crazily, the force is huge. Second, be careful on your center of mass(COM). make sure CMO is perfectly over the nose edge when press. These 2tips help me out with bs360. Sorry for my poor English ;)

It might be easier for him if he rotate the arms in a horizontal way. Especially at first half of the roll. Hope you mastered it today 🙏

I already can do the 180noseroll spin although still not smooth. Gonna try 360 ones next season. I will probably fall all over the place like RZ, but heck everyone starts from somewhere 😉. Also i just got my protective gears arrived 💪.

I'm coming into intermediate level riding on, this will be my second season. I'm confident turning and carving blue and green runs, and fairly solid with Ollies and nollies at low speed. - looking at new board for this season. So far I'm pretty set on the RIDE machete. (coming off a rental) Do you think that's a suitable spec board to get more into this style of riding?

The main diff between Ryan and the camera-man that I notice is that, Ryan did not swing his board quick. On top of that he flex his knee to absorb the landing. I am sensing that Ryan is putting 80% of his weight on that front toe side. Am I right Ryan? Love seeing you doing all that butters carving. Not only loving, but wanting to get there myself.
@salamdamai
@salamdamai 3 жыл бұрын
Another thing I notice is that when Ryan lands on the hill edge, the heel edge is nearly parallel to the direction his forward momentum. So if your landing heel edge is making a large angle with the forward momentum, the landing will not be smooth because the heed edge will butter/scrape the snow.
@salamdamai
@salamdamai 3 жыл бұрын
Ryan also propels his body upward to give more time for the back leg to have a nearly 360 degrees rotation.
@salamdamai
@salamdamai 3 жыл бұрын
I take back about the 80% weight on the toe edge while spinning. The way I see Ryan propels his body upward while executing the spin, the front toe side edge barely has any weight on it.
