What is AHO?
Most two-wheeler manufacturers term AHO as All-time Headlight On or Automatic Headlight On system. As the name suggests, new motorcycles and scooters which are sold and registered after April 1st, 2017 need to have the headlights on at all times. Yes, even during the day. So, there’ll be a whole bunch of well-meaning passers-by doing that magician-like hand-signals to remind you that the bike’s headlight is on.
This is in compliance to a notice issued by the Road and Transport Ministry of India. All new bikes equipped AHO will not have a button to switch on the headlight, since it will always be on, but will only get high-beam and low-beam buttons along with the pass switch.
Why do we need AHO?
This is a safety measure initiated by the ministry and is followed in many international countries. The idea behind this is that keeping headlights on throughout the day, even when the sun is nice and bright, makes spotting two-wheelers easier on the road. So, others on the road can see the motorcycle or scooter from a distance. It is also helpful during tricky light conditions during dusk, dawn or in case of sudden clouds casting a shadow.

Great video, actually Government states AHO as Automatic Headlight On, but it needs light sensor. To cut cost all manufacturers made it Always Headlight On (cheap business) I own Avenger 150 (BS4 AHO) in start stop traffic if i uae starter more than 6 times the battery drains completely. Also I did fitted Antitheft (removed later) as well as 5-LED headlamp (superb & useful), still it drains battery faster. Will try thia solution. Thanks once again.

I did this. But there is a problem in this. While ignition on and the headlight switch is off condition, the light will glow if we put the bright switch on. So instead of taking yellow green wire take the yellow wire comming from fuse carrier in the same black connector and yellow red wire instead of green wire from the same connector.

Bhai I have a question. My mechanic brother did this job for me. But the switch has 3 option. 1. Off. 2. Low beam and 3. Upper beam. But in my case. 1. Off. 2. also off and 3. Low beam. And for upper it is to be used by left switch upper dipper. My bike 350x thunderbird. I hope you got my query.

So RE headlamps work even when engine is off! That means RE has not implemented AHO modification correctly! In most other bikes, the headlamp comes on only after engine is started, hence avoiding the undue load on battery. . .

When I start my Ignition my headlight switch is off and When I change to High beam It is on.
