Might need a rebore/new piston starting like that! My old B33 wouldn't have! Nice though and the chrome on the tanks' still good!

I had a DBD34 and when that kicked back, my foot used to come up past the handlebars! Definite plaster cast job if you tried to start it like that!

+gen me most of western sets their bike's idle is too high. they scared if the oil pump doesnt work perfect

Might be a 56 frame, but a BB33 engine suggest 1953. Curious to see a large fin barrel on such early engine. Nice!
